December 30, 2024 by brennon
Sarissa Precision added a new set of full-colour terrain kits to their website this month. If you're a fan of 15mm Ancient warfare then you might want to pick up this new Roman terrain starting with the awesome Garrisoned Marching Camp.

This gives you an absolutely solid set of terrain for setting up a fun Roman battlefield. The soldiers should first dig a ditch and then erect the rampart and the associated palisade. If you're looking for a more permanent marching camp then this one comes with the 10cm Walls and the 10cm Gate as well as Fort Corners and Barracks.
All of this comes as part of Sarissa's CMYK Full-Colour range so you just need to build this and it's ready to go. You can also bulk this out with the Roman Marching Camp Starter if you feel like it needs to be enhanced.
Enhance Your Roman Town
As well as the Marching Camp, you can also pick up Sarissa's full 15mm Roman Town as well.

These are also full-colour designs which you just need to assemble and they're ready to go. These might be the buildings that are situated behind the Marching Camp in a town nearby that the Romans have started building to support the army. The set above comes with the Villa, two Insula and two Insula Corner buildings as well.
All of these terrain pieces can be picked up individually if you'd prefer as part of the Ancients In 15mm collection from Sarissa.

It would be neat to see Sarissa expand this range to not only the Romans but more Ancient civilisations like the Greeks, Carthaginians, Egyptians and more. Spend more time painting your armies and get battlefields together very quickly!

Apart from the sanitation, the medicine, education, wine, public order… and public health, what have the Romans ever done for us?
The aqueduct?
