Fight Within PlastCraft’s New Color-ED Sanctorum Cathedralis; Coming Soon
October 6, 2017 by brennon
PlastCraft Games have sent us an exclusive look at some more of their ColorED terrain as they shared with us the Sanctorum Cathedralis kit which is coming out soon.
The range has been designed for use within the world of Warhammer 40,000+775423, or whatever grimdark future you might want to fight through. You can see it assembled together into this impressive ruin here which would be great to fight through as Loyalists, Chaos scum and Xenos alike.
The collection shows off a ruined and devastated ruin which has been through the wars a few times. It features a bunch of wall sections as well as detailed interiors and places to clamber across as well.
As with the rest of their ColorED range, this terrain set comes completely ready to go. All you need to do is make sure that you stick it all together and it's completely set and ready for your games on the tabletop.
Ruins & Altars
The collection of terrain can be broken down into smaller sets of ruins which then work separate from the larger set if you wanted to pick up multiple whole kits and use them to adorn an entire table.
As well as wall sections we also have the fallen tower there which looks fantastic. I think this provides you with a great looking interior living space for a Hive World perhaps.
The intricate nature of the window pieces is great to see and the detail on the pre-coloured designs is very fitting.
This would be a superb set of terrain for someone just getting into the world of Warhammer 40,000. Hopefully, this means that the rest of the terrain range is going to be just as impressive.
Make sure to let us know what you're going to be doing with this kit going forward and how it will be added into the mix with your other terrain. Last but not least we have this awesome Altar which can sit in the midst of it all as an objective.
If you had a few of these you could throw them into the mix as a set and have them painted up with different lights perhaps.
What do you think?

Can’t get excited about their stuff, until they start printing on BOTH sides. Why buy precoloured stuff for an easy build, when you still need to work to cover the ugly blank white side 🙁
It is coloured on both sides in this case. Quite a few of their things are coloured on both sides if the interiors are usable.
THIS. Their prices are near 4Ground for basically a one sided foamcore building. Compare it to Impudent Mortal’s Rust City stuff or Battlesystem’s stuff and I”m just shaking my head.
This style may work for normal buildings, but for anything that is ruined the white insides *eh* ruin the entire look.
Even if they were to print both inside and outside the building would look too clean for a ruin.
It doesn’t look like there’s much coloured inner wall on show in the images. I think the kit looks pretty damn cool.
I was thinking the same thing about the inner walls. In the first pic there is a bit of colored inner wall and a bit of glaring uncolored inner wall. Then I realized that the third pic is the interior of the first pic.
Apparently, the walls are double thickness to create the colored interior in that pic.
a great looking ruin.
Plastcraft are certainly capable of printing on both sides; I don’t know why the white isn’t at least grey like their Haqqislam buildings because then it wouldn’t stand out so much. That said, I’m not really a fan of MDF as a material to work with (something about the texture when putting it together) so I’d nearly always opt for Plastcraft’s stuff. Plus the Plastcraft kits are always quick and easy to build (meanwhile I have a 4grounds infinity building which has been far too complicated). If only I had the choice of all this stuff 15 years ago. Side… Read more »
