Erik Angel Builds A Pirate Village On Kickstarter
February 5, 2019 by brennon
Erik Angel has taken to Kickstarter looking to get a Pirate Village crafted for your tabletops. The focus of the campaign is to get a laser cutter and other essential supplies to begin turning these prototypes into full production pieces.
The campaign is looking to create a series of different buildings, each of which your miniatures can enter. They aren't the most detailed pieces in the world but they would work as a quick and easy option for someone looking to create a desert island-come-pirate haven.
As well as the buildings the team are also looking to provide you with a few different sets of trees to give everything that paradise feel.
You can see how the range looks when collected together in the image below. There are a lot of people getting stuck into games like Blood & Plunder and Freebooter's Fate so locations for them to battle it out in are welcome additions.
If you'd like to have a look at some more of the terrain pieces and the pledges associated with them you can head on over to the Kickstarter linked above.
Will you be checking this campaign out?

Simple is good, especially when affordable. The 100 dollar pledge looks to be quite a bit of bang for your buck. I didn’t add it up, but it looks to be about a 50% savings over the expected retail prices.
great models but I don’t think the buildings go with the dessert theme.
That’s not a dessert, there’s just been a drought! ?
Less desert more island or coastal.
These look nice and would even be good for AWI in the Carolinas or even Napoleonic battles. Will take a good look and see if they will fill out a table.
This is the creator of the project(Erik Angel) and I wanted to say thank you for doing the write up. It was a pleasant surprise this morning to see a few referrals from Beast of War. The buildings were originally created for personal use just to throw something on the table quick to play games. So sadly they are not painted or built to the full potential they could have been. But enough people showed interest in the design and asked if I would do a Kickstarter so here we are. I wanted to take a minute to answer a… Read more »
