Plastcraft Preview Epic SAGA Terrain Coming Soon!
July 1, 2016 by brennon
Plastcraft Games are adding to their ColorED range with a new agreement made alongside Studio Tomahawk. They are going to be producing some fantastic terrain which will be of use in your games of SAGA: The Crescent & The Cross...
As you can see so far it's looking stunning and well worth exploring as a prospect for your tabletop gaming during the Medieval era. I mean, just look at that castle section...AND a reminder, this all comes ready to assemble and put down on the tabletop. No paint required!
Man The Walls!
It makes sense that we start on the walls and look at the defenders manning the battlements and looking down at those foes trying to breach their Castle.
This set has a really nice finish to it and I like the brick work that they've done here. The actual crenellations also look very sturdy and strong, a big thick wall worthy of hiding behind.
The other great thing about this set is that they also have worked on the interior of the castle where you have ladders and stairs making their way up to the top levels and the walkway itself allows you to have a proper skirmish.
The front of the Castle comes with some great looking gates too which is neat. and I think this is a good looking castle overall. I'd love to see them add more walls to this allowing you create a proper citadel.
Medieval Town
As well as the Castle they have also been working on some other Medieval buildings which will help you build up a nice hamlet.
As well as this smaller building that you see above which has a hangover from the Dark Ages with the style of the roof we also see some more sturdy looking stone buildings where some of the work for the castle might go on.
I think these look especially good and because of their shapes you could probably include a few of these within a medieval village and they wouldn't look like you'd just dropped a few of them onto the table.
Last but not least we also have something that is always welcome on tabletops, some bridges!
I always like seeing Bridges as terrain pieces as they start to funnel the action in different ways meaning that you have to think about the positioning of units and how you're going to hold these streams and rivers.
The two different styles look neat too with a poorer and richer one made for your use.
What do you think?

Looks great, hopefully won’t be too expensive
Wow! That’s impressive.
This looks very good and has a lot of character
its good indeed but the defenders should be the attackers the castle is Frankish
agreed with all of the above! they look great!
I like the plastcraft stuff but I worry it could be too flimsy, anyone had experience of their infinity stuff?
look very well thought out & designed.
If the smaller buildings are at a reasonable price point I’ll deffo pick up a few. I re kn a few touches would remove the slightly shiny toy quality and make them very serviceable for the table top.
@ricthehuman I got some first hand experience with plastcraft terrain at the infinity boot camp last year. It was solid, looked great and was fun to play on. I went from being skeptical about the product based soley on images to being a fan of their product range.
