Delve In A New Dungeon With Secret Weapon’s Tablescape Kickstarter
August 8, 2016 by brennon
Secret Weapon Miniatures are on Kickstarter right now alongside Reaper and Dark Art Miniatures (who are providing the miniature extras too) as they look at bringing a new Dungeon to your tabletop. Will you be entering their dangerous mines?
Their idea is to bring together a range of small dungeon tiles made of grey PVC with a 3D aspect to them (yes, there will be doors!). Each piece comes unpainted but it shouldn't take long before you can get this onto the table and get exploring.
There is plenty of detail worked into each piece of this set and it already looks like it's going to be a robust collection which is worth exploring multiple times over. I love the big 'Fantasy' feel of it where everything is that little bit more larger than life.
We Dug Too Deep!
The main set that you see below gives you the entrance to the underground warren of passageways and dank tunnels. You get a great looking set here that doesn't 'need' to be turned into a mine so it could be used for all manner of general underground dwellings.
With that in mind you can also get your hands on some Mine Cart Tracks which are just waiting to be used in a high speed chase through mines. Imagine a little cart load of Kobolds chasing after you with spears, bows and arrows, their shots bouncing off your haphazard cover.
Plenty of extras have also been added to the collection with more passageways and even a Troll Hole for when you want to freak your heroes out! They are trying to unlocked additional Doorways and Walkways right now too.
If you're interested in finding out how to paint your mine then you can check out a tutorial by Mathieu Fontain HERE.
So, now you've taken a look at this mine do you reckon you'll be delving into its depths in search of treasure and more?
Drop your thoughts below!

This looks like an awesome set, and the likely price point too is very welcome. I have a problem though; I dug out a load of my printed cardstock dungeon tiles t’other day whilst working on a dungeon-crawl mod for Age of Sigmar. I recently made the leap to AoS and now have a whole bunch of figures on 32mm rounds. Here lies the problem with 1″ grid tiles – too damn small!
Isn’t Silver Tower or whatever it’s called an AoS dungeon crawler mod rather than a new edition of Heroquest despite baring that name? No need for you to mod AoS, the works been done for you 😉
Hehe, well first of all I enjoy tinkering
[Stupid Windows phone playing up post-update]
Firstly, I love tinkering! Always like to come up with my own in-house rules and mods. Secondly, I’m not sure that TST is suitable for generic dungeon crawling..? It seems quite locked in with cards and other gubbins with a specific setting etc in mind.
nice. always welcome new dungeon crawler accessories
Finally, a dungeon tiles set that I can afford! I think a couple of the massively expanded main sets for these will look pretty damn awesome…
Going to use this with my copy of Massive Darkness. This should be really cool.
