Dungeon… or Dolls House?

I spotted these new dungeon set ups from Manorhouse Workshop and thought "wow... that little dungeon looks great!"
However, when I saw the picture of the furniture itself, without any "dungeon scene" to set it in... the first thing I though of was "that's stuff for a doll's house!"
What do you think guys. Where is the line between doll's house and wargaming terrain... is there a line... I know my wife might have something to say on the subject.

If it looks good, who cares what its “original purpose” is for. I’ve seen plenty of terrain pieces build from the “ruins” of doll houses. This stuff looks good enough to fit in a dungeon and not look out of place
Agreed ! Recycling toys and bits is a time honored practice of modelers and terrain-makers everywhere.

The only line for me is in scale & content. Teddy bears etc will not be welcome in my dungeon unless they are heavily mutilated first 🙂 Secondly a detailed dungeon like this has practical use, a Doll’s House does not – can you butcher your way through a horde of goblins and daemons in a dolls house in order to secure untold wealth & power? No you cannot 🙂 It’s funny I’ve started a Warhammer Quest thread over at Dakka, might do the same here as well, get a petition going in the vain hope GW will ‘do a… Read more »
Although fighting zombies teddy bears through a dolls house does sound like a good game to me!
Can Polly Poppet survive a night in the Haunted House of My Little Nightmares?
Will Ken be able to fend off the Teddy Bear Zombie hordes?
All your worst childhood dreams may just come true, Mwhaha mwhahahahaha!
The only difference is scale and one’s insecurity. 🙂
If there were servitors in dollhouse scale, I’d be playing Inquisitor right now.
I’m tempted to build my own dungeon one day. Might just be one of those pipe dreams but ainstycastings really adds some inspiration to custom or expanded dungeons.

My only issue is that I know that with some thick card board and some multi purpose filler I could soon knock up the basic parts straight away.
I think it looks great. But it doesn’t’ look like something to play a game on. More of a Diorama than a game board.
Hi all, thanks for the wonderful work that you did for our products.
actually I filled several rooms of furniture, but I had to show all items.
These furniture can fit to furnish a room to help the master to describe what they see players.
with less Furniture, You can play quietly one skirmish.
How can you decide also to make a splendid diorama.
