Populate The Desert With New Deep-Cut Studio 28mm Houses
February 25, 2021 by brennon
Deep-Cut Studio has been building on their pre-painted terrain collection with a couple of Desert Houses for you to use in your Sci-Fi wargames from a galaxy far, far away. There are two that you can choose from at the moment.

These Desert Houses are, as you can see, scaled to work with 28mm or 32mm miniatures and have quite a nice finish to them. Made out of resin, they look like they should be pretty darn hard wearing and should stand up to the rigours of wargaming on the tabletop. Combine them with a desert gaming mat and you'll be ready to go.

As mentioned, there are two options for you to choose from at the moment which comes with nice little pieces of incidental terrain popped on top as well. Maybe this will give your soldiers a little more cover as they get stuck into fighting a deadly galactic empire!

The houses that you're seeing here aren't exactly on the cheap side with one house coming in at €30 or so. You could probably make a lot of terrain similar to this with recycled components but that's not the point. The point is that Deep-Cut is putting out a different option for those who just don't want to spend the time getting sticky.

Make sure to take a closer look at the different examples of the Desert Houses over on their webstore and let us know what you think. As someone who has always struggled with working out how to build terrain for a full-on tabletop, this kind of pre-painted terrain might be a bit of a lifesaver.

Not to bad….
Looks nice and good to have the option out there.
I generally have the same mixed feelings about pre-built terrain. The cost for most is higher than I’d like but it makes for an easy way to get terrain going. I enjoy making terrain but it’s a time commitment. I do like that companies are putting out pre-painted stuff now as having to buy it and then still having to paint it always struck my as the worst of both worlds.
Not going to be able to put a model on the steps. Otherwise they do loo good, but a shame they didn’t design them with lift off roof and usable interior, but that would push up the price.
Great for star wars and any futuristic dessert game’s.
And their plonk an go terrain Bonus points awarded?
Not bad at all… Good thing i have no need of a desert table 😉
