Deep-Cut Studio Start Planting New Wargaming Trees
July 3, 2019 by brennon
Deep-Cut Studio is branching out beyond mats with their new product, a set of Wargaming Trees for both 15mm and 32mm gaming.
The team have designed a set of trees which are ready to go on the tabletop. Species include Chestnut, Birch and Pine, giving you enough variety to create some interesting tabletops which don't feel too samey.
For around fifteen euros a pop they're not bad and would be good for creating some areas of greenery on the tabletop. Each of them is handmade and unique, able to be adjusted thanks to the wire design. The sets also come with the woodland 'mat' underneath them which helps create area terrain.
The 32mm trees come in sets of three whilst the 15mm trees come in a set of four. I think they work quite well, although they do look a little threadbare when it comes to foliage. However, if you need quick trees this seems like a good way to get your tabletop looking a bit more verdant.
What do you think of them?

I know someone *cough* @theterraintutor *cough* who will be really glad those ain’t palm trees XD
Why is that?

I wonder if there are as durable as 4Ground trees.
A grey bunch of tree’s an the 15&32mm can be mixed to represent old an young trees mixture to get a realistic look at both scales.
All you really have to do is go into your local hobby shop/train shop/hobby lobby (or go online) and look for Woodland Scenic stuff if this is the style of tree you want. I’m not saying they look bad at all, but the bend-wire and flock trees are fairly common and will usually cost less. And they’ll look as good. They may not be as durable as something link 4Ground since the clump foliage technique on the bent-wire frame just doesn’t lend itself to being as ‘drop-free.’ Which is too bad. But you’d have to shellac the heck out of… Read more »
Trees are always great, but there isn’t enough tree’s from combat zones where there are blown up stumps and fallen over, that kind of stuff. My opinion at least
Not bad. Even if they look a little threadbare they can be used in between more detailed tress to flesh out a forest.
