aha! so THAT’s why it’s called table salt! 🙂
It looks great – nice job!
great idea using an existing board and adding a few common materials to turn it into something stunning. The table salt looked great and i like the use of the D+D tiles.
If this is the finished board what will be in part 3?
the conversion board idea is intreaging
Stay tuned for part 3 ?! – is that the clean up ?
Does Darrell even work in the studio or is he just a gamer that comes in, drops some cheese, and then pops off to the pub?
He told me that BOW is his job. That, and robbing the elderly.
very nice!
Now where did you get those tiles? are those dwarven forge tiles?
do you guy have a place to leave a table up all the time outside of the club and studio?
Have you ever seen a table that is all sand? 3 or 4 inches deep that can be made into dunes or into any shape you want. I bet it would be cool and how easy would craters be?
I don’t want to sound like a sourpuss, but… Making a crater with dry sand is impossible. Hell, making anything out of dry sand but a dune is impossible ! You could have wet sand, and build sandcastles… And even then, the terrain would change mid-battle with every dice roll or movement, as the sand gets knocked. If it’s 3 inches deep, you’d lose your minis in the sand, the sand would stick to everything, the minis would get scratched, the table would be very heavy, and even if you transport the sand in a bag, it leaves a mess.… Read more »
i want one i want one 🙂
My daughter have a “sandtable” outside in the garden, daddys toy-soldiers ain’t going any where near it.
But a dessert (with optional add-on craters) table would be a cool thing for North Africa and Fantasy/Sci-fi – I’ll have to keep the idea in mind for down the road, I have a “normal” table to build first
Sorry if I totally missed it, but where are the buildings from?
Very cool. You could have saved time and money though by just throwing a cup of coffee over the sails.
