Create A Historical Haven With Rune Stones From Thomarillion

One thing that we all need when it comes to building a cool tabletop is spot terrain that not only could act as objectives but also marks it out for the time period you want it to be set. The Rune Stones from Thomarillion do just that...
Runic Power
Rune Stones would not only be great for use with something like SAGA but also for use in a variety of different fantasy games where you're trying to give things both a Dwarf or Norse-like feel...
While the immediate thought is that you should use these for the above type of table how about something a bit different? Maybe these could mark the entrance to a tomb or crypt in the middle of Scandinavia where you're explorers from the 20th Century are delving deep. I wonder what kind of creepy spirits they might awaken from the depths.
I think these are nicely detailed and while you could do the same with some foam core and some knife skills this has all been done for you.
What do you think of them?

Adding them to my must buy list.
These are nice, something I don’t have either.
I have something very similar from Fenris.
nice stones could be Celtic, welsh, druid, or Goth, as well I think.
Like them but would make them as said from foam and not knife but sharp pencil. Liberally paint a couple of thin coats of pva and water leave to dry half a day. don’t miss the underside. spray stone colour and then ink. way markers standing stones stone circles early saxon crosses. you want massive weathered larger standing stones for your beastly things, druids etc, when applying the pva leave an area that you wish to have major weatherin to. follow as before spray melts the parts not pva covered. always do this outside up wind and leave it alone… Read more »
Making better ones, make small or large stone shaped hollowed out playdo/plasterscene use as a trough after tin coat of cooking veg oil applied inside, fill with plaster of paris to desired level. Allow to dry. once fully set remove usually following day. take sculpting tool having drawn design upon your stone, look up nordic or german runic alphabet. write your own appropriate message fun bit only you ever likely to know what real meaning is. scribe off with sharp pointed tool. presto stone that are unique to you. or buy these ones there really, really good.
These would be simple to produce yourself if you are into making terrain, but they fill a convenience gap. Some people don’t know how, or don’t have access to the materials to make things like this. Its a good product that has a nice little niche market.
