Corvus Games Prepare For Modular Terrain Kickstarter Soon
August 14, 2020 by brennon
Corvus Games Terrain are focusing in on a new Kickstarter coming soon called Isolation Protocol. This is going to bring a set of Modular 3D Printable Terrain to the tabletop for you to use in your Sci-Fi wargames.
Isolation Protocol Terrain // Corvus Games Terrain
The terrain is set to be easy to assemble and reminds me a lot of the kind of terrain that Mantic Games produced for Deadzone. Having these block structures to create in a "LEGO" sense seems like a good way to build some intricate tabletops for your wargames. It also feels very agnostic in a sense meaning that it could be used for a myriad of different games.
Here you can see how it looks alongside some 28mm miniatures and in a variety of different colours.

I could see this as a good option for those who like their skirmish games like Necromunda and the like. With all of the ways you could build this, it seems like it would be really good for dynamic games. You could also build it into more condensed structures for those wanting to play proper wargames.
Watch out for the Kickstarter which is coming soon HERE!

Reminds me of the old necromunda boxed set kit and that’s no bad thing. Seems to have a lot of potential.
Sadly, I cannot honestly justify the cost of a 3D printer for my hobby. So I’ll stick to the usual terrain products and making my own.
Changing the subject, could anyone advise me where I could get some industrial and/or road marking stencils for 28mm gaming?
Thanks
Have a look at Vallejo, they do all kinds of stencils.
Thanks, Shredhead
That’s literally a direct copy of Mantic’s Deadzone terrain.
That is basically the first thing that came to my mind when I saw this.
Yeah it’s designed for Deadzone. Especially as Mantic no longer produce most of the battlezone sets anymore (only a select few that are better for warpath).
Ive printed some stuff from Corvus before, great quality designs
Its even called isolation protocol…
Mantic repackaged the sets a couple of years ago, but all the pieces made are still available in these sets.
They are under the terrain crate brand now.

I know they are under Terrain Crate, but quite a few of the old sets are no longer made. The ones that are there have had a considerable price increase over the last few years.
fab if you have or can use a 3D printer.
