The Beacons Are Lit With New Thomarillion Terrain Pieces
December 20, 2017 by brennon
Getting into the Lord of the Rings vibe for today we take a look at these Beacons/Signal Fires which are coming soon from the folks at Thomarillion.
Whilst I get a very Middle-earth surge of awesomeness out of these, imagining them getting put atop some mountains somewhere as Gondor calls for aid from Rohan, I'm sure they would also be rather fun placed around your villages and towns, or along coastlines, as a means of adding a bit of atmosphere to the occasion.
They will come both lit and unlit so that you can use them as you wish across the tabletop. I like the idea of using them in some kind of smuggler-esque scenario. You could have a band of pirates looking to light the wrong signal fires in order to make a ship crash against the rocks.
There are all manner of scenarios which could be brewed up for these I reckon.
What do you think?

Those are great for so many systems, i will have to look into getting some for my flgc’s Frostgrave players for starters.
Very nice. Something you could build a skirmish game around… capture the tower before the signal fire can be lit
a great handy piece of scenery to have.
