Battle Through New Micro Art’s Pre-Coloured Japanese Terrain
November 11, 2024 by brennon
Micro Art Studio released a new set of pre-coloured/pre-painted terrain for use in your 28mm wargames. These would be good for game sets during the Feudal Japanese period and Sci-Fi games like Infinity.

Each of the terrain pieces from Micro Art Studio comes "pre-painted" so all you have to do is slot the pieces together (with a touch of glue) and away you go. Each of the buildings is made from HDF and comes with both a pre-coloured exterior and also a fully detailed interior as well.

These pieces seem like they would be excellent for games like Test Of Honour, Ronin and Kensei. It would also be excellent for games of Infinity, especially with the introduction of awesome new JSA miniatures for the new edition of Infinity.
There are four buildings for you to choose from as part of this latest release. Micro Art has made the Fangwu, Jiaowu, Zhimiao and Da Fangzi which all come with multiple floors, perfect for ambushes and all sorts!

I particularly liked Jiaowu which comes with that wonderful upper floor which could well be somewhere a martial artist calls home or a sniper is sitting in wait. Maybe both! I like that the edges of the terrain also work really nicely with the pre-coloured terrain so you don't have to worry about them looking odd on the tabletop.
The Zhimiao is also excellent, especially with that top section which is just perfect for ARO potential!

With all four of these buildings on the tabletop and then the addition of a bit of scatter terrain, you could easily build yourself some great tabletops for your skirmish games. This would easily fill a good 3x3 or 4x4 tabletop.

Micro Art Studio do some excellent work when it comes to their pre-coloured terrain and this is just the latest in a great range. There are loads of options for you for Infinity but also your Historical wargames like Bolt Action.
Obviously, you pay a little bit of a premium for these pre-coloured terrain pieces but when you can get a tabletop looking good without too much effort, it could mean you end up playing more games. Always a bonus.
Will you be checking out these terrain pieces?

Micro Art Studio really do nice terrain
This is nicely restrained for them. I like their Cyberpunk buildings, but their WW2 stuff is eye-poppingly kaleidoscopic in color. Glad they kept it reasonable here.
