Adventure In The Ruined Tower Of Daldorr With 4Ground
October 8, 2015 by brennon
4Ground have shown off a preview of their next 'Ruins Of Daldorr' terrain piece which will go some way towards creating a massive city of crumbling buildings. See what you think of the twisting staircase that leads up into the Blasted Tower...
This looks like an awesome set for fighting out tense battles in search of treasure. I like that the staircase has the added platform half way up which is just what you need when you're looking to create some cinematic battles and keep most of your models standing straight and not falling off all the time.
The one thing this terrain needs I feel is the addition of a bit of weathering once you've put it all together. While it's all ruins the surfaces all look very clean and they could do with some vegetation crawling all over it and more dirt worked into the gaps.
What do you think?

ooooo! this is looking cool.
I’m excited by all the support Frostgrave has been getting! i picked up the rulebook last week, and though I haven’t had a chance to try it yet, I’m RELLY liking what I have read, sounds like it’s going to be a great system!
4ground just get better all the time.
OOo nice.
I felt the early efforts in this product line were a bit flat and plain looking but they are starting to add some much needed variety. I’m tempted to pick these up now when they make it to my FLGS.
The trouble I have with all the 4ground stuff is…well the ‘ruins’ never look very ruined if you see what I mean! For Frostgrave I’m using CNC scenery stuff, which is plain and can be given a more ruined look with a good paint job.
All the 4 ground stuff looks too clinical to me….I would have to attack it with some heavy ‘dirtying down’ which makes the high price you paint for the pre-painted buildings a bit pointless.
