Add Spots Of Life To Your Bases With 4Ground
July 31, 2015 by brennon
4Ground have come up with a whole array of new basing material products that you can use to add some life to your bases. These have come at an opportune moment for me as I need something like this for my blasted earth bases I've used in Age of Sigmar. See what make of the new Tuft Selection...
These new Tufts come in a wide array of different colours and styles allowing you to use them for practically any base that you could think of. As I mentioned above I'm going to be looking at these for use with my cracked earth bases to give them a spot of colour.
One of the best uses I could think of for them would be on scenic bases where you've already got the likes of stone or wood modelled onto them. You could then use these tufts to show nature pushing its way through and taking back a little bit of control.
One of my favourite sets is this last one, the Winter Grass. I think winter is an amazing theme for basing as it allows you to do some nice things with stark colours like red for blood.
Interestingly while I'm viewing these as useful for 28mm bases you could potentially use them on smaller scale model bases to represent bushes and the like too.
What do you think?

I’ve been making my own with static grass, a copper plate, and an applicator, but it’s a pain. Given the great price, I’d rather order them.
Nice colours.
