Add Some Modular Woodland To Your Tabletop With Stronghold
May 27, 2015 by brennon
Stronghold Terrain have put together another new kit for use in a range of different wilderness tabletops. See what you think of their Modular Wood Kit...
In The Woods Today
The woods that you see below come as part of a custom set that allows you to make a wilderness scene that would be perfectly placed in the North of England or Scandinavia with their hardy trees.
In the set you get a selection of trees that can be clipped to the appropriate size, a resin base with built in magnets, magnetised bases, and finally a bag of special flock that fits the type of woodland.
I think it's a very nice looking set that would be great for use with dark age games and plenty of others to be fair. I like the modular forest sets like this as they make it a lot easier to get soldiers through and you don't have any awkward balancing acts to achieve.
I'd be tempted to keep the trees and bases separate too so you could just have a range of tree stumps if you liked instead of the indentations you see above.
What do you think?

Not my ‘setting’, but i’ll keep watch – really nice kit.
in the first pic they look a bit scrawny but if you look at the trees lying down then they don’t look as bad as the branches at the bottom do die off as they grow with lack of light in a forest.
You can never have enuff trees!
Damn straight.
This looks like a really good set, and a pretty decent price too, considering what trees normally cost.
Probably not the type of trees I’m after, but if they do some different species, I’m very interested.
Hmm… Having a look at their website they’ve got some really cool stuff. Check out these burning tyres!
