4thWar Lay Down Some Rubber Roads For Their Kickstarter
June 24, 2014 by brennon
The 4thWar Kickstarter has added some awesome Rubber Roads to their pledges and you can see some of the designs below for Sci-Fi, Fantasy and Contemporary Roads. They all look very nice in design and could prove great for this idea for what is essentially a flat pack gaming space...
I do like the idea of the roads in general but most of all those Sci-Fi ones. You could use these for Infinity and create a series of light bridges and roads crisscrossing the board. Very cool indeed I say. It's always important to have roads on gaming tables I think and they provide perfect lanes of fire and interesting opportunities for movement and indeed traps. Laden them with debris and you have even cooler roads.
Here we have the details on the two different sets of road including straight sections and of course the curved and intersection parts that actually make them an interesting and realistic addition to the board. The rubber roads are an add on so you can attach them to your pledge if you've already dived in.
What do you think?
I have no need for cardboard tables, but this stuff looks interesting.
It’s the printed “mousemat” stuff, right?
hi maxxon!! thanks for supporting us, and yes! the roads are made of the same rubber of mats.
I checked the mousemat on my desk, it’s 2mm. I don’t think there’s any need to go thicker, at least on the road segments.
The only difficulty with this is deciding how much I need. Oh well, I threw in a pledge, I’ll figure out the exact contents later.
