4Ground Show Off Their 28mm Gothic City Centre
February 28, 2016 by brennon
Three new buildings are now available for pre-order from 4Ground for your games at 28mm scale. Here we have the Gothic City Centre which would be great for the likes of Batman (maybe, with a few height issues) or indeed any modern adventure through an urban landscape.
The idea is that these buildings, like North Point here, work as facades and help build up a city-scape where the inside of the buildings doesn't matter quite so much. You will also see a lot of pre-painted parts within this collection too.
Both South Point and Grant House are also excellent additions to the set and would help provide you with massive line-of-sight blocking terrain on the tabletop. The fact that they are facades as well means that they can get away with making them and keep the price down a little lower.
What do you think of these three new buildings?

Lovely looking buildings but I think the Knights of Dice ones might be a little nice (but if course unpainted)
I agree. The KoD building are nicer, but the trade-off is painting them. These are more convenient, albeit more expensive.
I really wish they’d do buildings in bigger scales. I picked one up and while it looks nice my models look like Andre the Giant in comparison. More and more games are in 32, 35 mm now so no idea why they haven’t.
These feel a little generic to me. These buildings have no soul. Maybe it is just because this is supposed to represent a modern era building, which I do not find as intriguing as high fantasy or sci-fi, but this just doesn’t do it for me.
very nice.
They are quite nice looking but I agree that 28mm is probably the wrong scale. Batman and the new Marvel Universe game are 32mm so this will probably be a little off. The North Point building particularly has a Gotham vibe to it with gargoyles but I think it probably misses the mark a little.
