4Ground Take You To A Fabled Town With New Terrain!
July 2, 2014 by brennon
On the 18th of July you'll be able to get your hands on 4Ground's new Fabled Town houses that will be perfect for crafting a brilliant urban or built up table full of backstabbing and tightly packed alley fighting...
As you can see they have a definite Fable vibe (as their title should suggest) and the whole selection looks to be different in a few slight ways creating the look of a ramshackle town where some more undesirable looking fellows might live. These look perfect for use with a whole bunch of fantasy based skirmish games!
There will eventually be eight of these buildings in the range so the buildings above plus two more on the horizon. As well as that they're hoping to create some ruined versions of these houses if you prefer the distressed look and some key signature buildings like a Blacksmiths, Tavern and Apothecary. Soon you'll have a whole fantasy town!
Do you like the look of these?

Hell yes. Been waiting for these for months.
These rock!
Finally, have been waiting for months too. Wont need to check their site daily now. Thanks for the news Brennon
Just not a fan of the whole cartoony out-of-square look. I usually make my own buildings, but have succumbed on occasion to buying truly outstanding pieces. These don’t qualify. I would rather spend more money on something from Tabletop World.
4Ground does, however, make excellent Old West buildings.
Love the look of these!
Why limit yourself to Fantasy? Who’s to say they don’t work as a run down slum in Steampunk era or even near-future skirmishes?
Apart from the curvy roof ridge I love these. If they go together without it (and without a ton of work to get it to work) I’m a massive fan
Tone them down, dirty them up, add the detritus of life around the outside and you have Bree from Middle-earth and part of Ankh-Morpork from Discworld.
The movie version of Lake-town bears a very close resemblance to Fable so they could easily be used for that too.
Very nice I can see these making there way to my gaming table
Anyone who saw the village that was on display at Salute will find it hard not to want to replicate what they saw.
Mordheim players rejoice? These are a really fun little addition to all the options 4Ground already give us. If I didn’t have storage issues from my other historical buildings already I’d love to add a bit of character to my table. There are some clever people working there.
I love these guys product range and I have a large collection of their 28mm ECW terrain that is used for city fight style games of Warmachine.
I have to say I’m a little disappointed with these, I was expecting more than a few curved lines.
the roof will look more curved when you add the optional tile to it, will help cover the sectioned roof pieces, as it is very difficult to curve hobby ply. Have a look at the salute video featuring them to see the effect and watch one of the 4ground guys attaching the tiles.
I really like these, they look fabulous. As someone else mentioned, very reminiscent of Fable, and would make a lovely Ankh-Morpork.
44Ground are easily my favourite building manufacturer because you can actually move miniatures inside the building with no fuss.
Someone tell them they need to put a under their Twitter feed!!
Also really nice buildings, but I struggled to find them on the website….?
lol deleted my HTML, should have expected that :/
