3DAlienWorlds Fly Their New Samurai Nobori Flags
May 6, 2020 by brennon
3DAlienWorlds has been showing off some more 3D Printable options for their Fantasy Samurai range. This time around they have designed some new Nobori Flags which you can fly from the battlements of your castle or use to mark objectives on the tabletop.
Each of the flags stands at around 70mm tall and works well with 28mm miniatures from various ranges. They come with designs print onto the flags which makes them easier to paint and you can then drop them into those little flag holders so that you can show who controls what on the tabletop.
Whilst they can be used as decoration for terrain as you see here, I like the idea of using them as activation tokens of a kind. When a unit has moved and done all of its actions, you could drop these flags next to them rather than using a gem or dice. This keeps things feeling "in-world" and gives a real sense of a general directing their troops across the battlefield.
What do you make of these new flags?

And of course you can use them to build that epic Girls und Panzer Stug 🙂

Fabulous looking banners and if you know how to change the sizes the perfect program to get banners for all your army’s.
Looks good! ??
I like the idea of, ” keeps things feeling “in-world” “.
This is an idea that should be used in some other games as well.
