3DAlienWorlds has been showing off an impressive looking piece of Historical terrain for you to download and print off at home. Here we have their HUGE Samurai Castle which comes with multiple layers and plenty of scope for wargaming on the tabletop.

This is the kind of thing that might get even Lloyd working on painting his way through a Japanese army. When combined with the 75mm tall base section which forms the core of the castle, this towering piece of terrain stretches up to a magnificent 460mm. That means it's going to stand proud in the centre of many gaming tables and might end up being a gaming "space" of its very own.

As well as looking good on the outside, this Samurai Castle also contains a mass of interior structures for you to battle through.

All of them provide you with tight corridors for you to wander down as you keep an eye out for ninja who are creeping about. As well as being used for subtle assassination attempts, this could also be the place for a clash between different clans as one has gained entry and is fighting its way to the top.

As the levels go up and up they get smaller and this means that your combats are going to be up close and personal with little space to breath. It also means it should be easier to defend too. I like the idea of using this for a skirmish game like Test Of Honour and centring a clash between two Daimyos and their stalwart bodyguards.

Get to the top and you've got a deadly clash between the two warlords. This seems like it would be a lot of fun to play around with and you've got to hope that your 3D printer can handle it! The files that you get include the Base Section, Underground Entrance, Ground-Level Entrance, Building Levels (x5), Detailed Interior Sections and the Connecting Staircases.

You can check out some articles on building the Samurai Castle HERE and also their PDF Instructions as well. Good luck!

I can't wait to see someone tackle this and paint it up themselves!
