10mm Japanese Temple Now On Kickstarter From Castle Arts
October 7, 2016 by stvitusdancern
Feudal Japan has always held my interest and so has small scale miniatures, so when you combine the two you definitely get my attention. Castle Arts has a Kickstarter running right now to help complete their Feudal Japan Temple.
Within this complex, you have the options of getting the main entrance, lateral entrance, lecture hall, pagoda, Golden Hall, or the whole kit with corridors to complete the look.
The buildings are made from resin and the detail is quite nice. They are also offering miniatures to go with the buildings to complete the set.
I could see this being the centerpiece of a table. There is even an option to have them delivered painted ( if you can spare the money). Either way, these would be a really nice addition to someone's collection of terrain.
Check out the Kickstarter and see if this is your sort of kit.
What do you think?

Nice stuff. Wish it was it 28mm though, then it would go right onto my table for Bushido.
I wish they were 15MM … Zvenda has a great 15MM range … 10MM … sigh … I’ll have to pass on this stuff, really nice though I hope they continue these sorts of projects, hopefully in 15MM soon 🙂
A lot of wargamers use terrain that s a scale smaller to get a better look on the table so 10mm figures with 6mm terrain etc. So woukd probably be fine with 15mm if you want to go down that route
Ah, just like home.
Belfast??? Lol
I meant the 10mm scale.
This stuff is awesome. Anyone have any idea what game its designed for?
Without trying to seem flippant and rude the answer is 10mm wargames
I know but I thought there might be a specific samurai game they were doing it for, thats all
I think what I was trying to say is that thankfully there are still figure and terrain manufacturers that still dont try to persuade you to use a certain system with their products or the assumption by gamers that it has to be
I think this is a down side to this much vaunted golden age
Oh my that is beautiful.
looks amazing.
looks great.
This could be used to add variety to a dropzone commander table as many modern cities have traditional buildings amongst them that are culturally significant. That being said if I build a Japanese themed city like that I’d have to also buy some Godzilla action figures and have a play.
Those are some great looking buildings.
