Angel Giraldez’ Painting Masterclass Volume 2 Now Available For Pre-Order
October 18, 2016 by brennon
Studio Giraldez and Corvus Belli have joined forces once again as the new Painting Masterclass Volume 2 book becomes available for pre-order.
The book will take you through a number of different techniques using all manner of miniatures, explaining his methods step by step. If you pre-order the book through Corvus Belli you can also get your hands on an exclusive model too, the Imperial Agent Crane Rank.
The video at the top of the page gives you a more in-depth look at the book and what he's hoping to teach you in this volume. Also, you can check out Angel's Facebook Page as he's been posting a selection of updates on there as the book comes to life.
Will you be picking this volume up?

I am super excited about this book. The first one took us through the basics and it looks like this one takes us on a ride through Infinity and more. Only problem is 38 Euros for shipping to the USA is more than a bit seeing as the book is not much more in price. I hope some local or online US stores pick this up so we can get hold of it at a somewhat better cost.
The War Store, Miniature Market ex. Those guys carry all Infinity pre-order stuff. And Wayland Games in the UK will cover free shipping to the US with an order over 50 bucks I think.
Checked with Miniature Market and they said they aren’t going to stock it. Will check on the War Store.
Thanks
Thanks @spaderfish The War Store has the preorder up on their website.
I loved the first volume so I will definitely be getting this one
Can’t wait for this. I will be first one in line.
Got mine ordered from Wayland yesterday. I loved the first book, really looking forward to this one.
Check out his facebook for a lot of free tutorials too!
Pre-ordered!
the figure looks ace as well as the book.
call me a heretic, but i’m not thrilled.
the first book was a shelf warmer and for good reasons. being good at painting does not automatically make you good at teaching how to paint.
figure does look ace though.
it looks every bit as good as I’d hoped it would. absolutely can’t wait.
Angel looks like he has stepped it up in light of his experience with the first book.
the crane is ridiculously good.
Hope it’s a hell of a lot better than the first.
Can you give us more information? That comment doesn’t say a lot.
I liked the first book and it helped give me ideas on doing things a little differently than before. My painting has definitely improved since buying the book, but the contents of it weren’t necessarily the reason for that – if that makes the slightest bit of sense!
Having said that, I can understand people’s criticism of it; it wasn’t really a tutorial book on how to paint stuff, more of a demo on how Angel does stuff. There is a difference, although I have to concentrate hard to sort those two schools of writing out in my head.
I’d agree with that; there were some useful tips I picked up in the first book, while at the same time, it wasn’t really a tutorial on how to paint stuff. Also, it might just be me, but I am not really in a situation where I can justify getting a airbrush (for instance, my wife would be very unimpressed in terms of the cost, let alone the mess), so from the first book at any rate, anything that talked about using an airbrush was a bit of a waste. Hopefully the second book is more suitable for a painter… Read more »
Book 2 will has a lot more added thanks to community feedback. People will still need time and practice but it will help them as a guide to painting miniatures.
I would like to have the painting skill to be the painter that this book is the target for and be able to TRY some of these techniques . Alas while the snows of eld that dust my temples have provided slightly more free time they are cruelly ensuring that my eyesight is deteriorating. (A POX ON YOU AGING!!!!!!….. ahem) I am still going to try and pick it up, as in the last year through painting guides and videos such as those of the Blessed Romain and St Duncan of Rhodes, I have actually improved. So Mr Giraldez I… Read more »
I know many ppl hated the first volume and i see why: it’s not for neophytes, BUT if you have some experience it’s a blast!
I LOVE his style, it helps getting VERY good models in reasonable time.
It taught me to paint like this:
