Dive Into The Star Wars: Legion Shadow Collective Starter Set!
April 5, 2022 by brennon
The Shadow Collective is making its way to the tabletop for Star Wars: Legion! The new Starter Set is now available to pre-order, offering up a new way to take to the tabletop in Atomic Mass Games' Sci-Fi wargame set in a galaxy far, far away.

This new set of miniatures gets you going with a whole host of criminal and backstabbing underworld elements from the world of Star Wars. Leading the way is the miniature for Darth Maul who can be armed with the Darksaber and a lightsaber OR his full-on double-ended lightsaber.

Additional elements include the Black Sun Enforcers and the Pyke Syndicate Foot Soldiers who are willing to follow Maul into the midst of the fighting. You can even get special characters like Rook Cast, watching over the developing situation on the tabletop.

As well as the miniatures, the new sets also feature a collection of upgrade cards for giving your troops heavy weapons. Command Cards are also included with three new command cards for Maul alongside reprints of some of his old Separatist Alliance Command Cards.
The various elements of The Shadow Collective Starter Set are then made available as part of separate sets. So, if you just what the Mandalorian Super Commandos, Pyke Syndicate or Black Sun Enforcers, you can snag them as and when you like. Or, you can use them to expand your criminal fraternity even more!

Not shown here, but also available as part of the pre-orders, is a Commander Expansion for the infamous Gar Saxon! A deadly new foe for you to introduce that is able to blast away even the most powerful of your enemies.

The model comes with a couple of options when you tinker with the kit. You can either have him with a helmet on or off and armed with his rifle or a pistol and shield.

It's fun to see things still expanding within the games of Star Wars: Legion. It's a lot of fun and with so many different stories set within the Star Wars universe to dive into, you have equally exciting options for the tabletop!
The stories that Filoni has created are certainly being mined by Atomic Mass Games and I can't wait to see what else they throw into the mix, especially for this Clone Wars period.
Are you going to be snapping these up for your collection?

Please move along…. nothing to see here… move along… and don’t buy my supplies!
I just saw the price that Board Games Extras have the Shadow Collective box listed for, and £50 for all three units, then with Maul & Kast as well, seems like ludicrously good value for money. Now, I wonder how hard it’ll be to trim those horns off of the Mandos….
Not too hard. The new models are all hard-plastic.
Thanks for the tip. Just put an order in with BG Extras myself.
Those are really nice looking.
Pyke Syndicate all the way for me.
Brilliant new figures that I’ve never seen ! Aagh don’t shout it’s only the film’s I’ve watched. I like the snail head’s an the black Sun Enforcers. @warzan that black sun trooper may be a fabulous cosplay alternative if you haven’t started/finished your original choice?
Bugger!!!
Running a Star Wars RPG and need me some villains… Black Sun in particular.
Mid June seems a long way off though for the release date.
Really hope we get prince zixor too , cool to explore other avenues of the franchise
There’s a Black Sun Vigo that is Falleen, so I assumed that would be Xizor. Pity the enforcer is not represented by Guri.
These are awesome.
Easily a must buy for me and I dont even play Legion.
Dammit. More Manadalorians for the cause (opens wallet)….
congratulations to the seven people in Europe who were able to buy these
I take it they have not supplied many preorders to outside usa?
They don’t supply much of anything outside the US. People accuse GW of promoting panic buying but it’s nothing compared to the piss poor availability of Legion
It’s no secret that US companies tend not to care about non-US markets. And yeah this makes GW look good in comparison.
Not really encountered problems buying stuff when I wanted it. I buy only what I need for an RPG… (and I know you don’t approve of minis in RPG’s but it gives me an excuse to buy and paint them even if I don’t play the skirmish). I bought the Legion starter when Amazon was flogging it at a discount price and found a place in the UK that was doing a half price sale when I wanted a few more minis I do want some (if not all of those Scum and Villainy), but as I’m not playing the… Read more »
if you want, go to stackry.com, get a USA address , ship to to their and then have it shipped to the UK. I do this all the time as i’m in canada and have a US and UK mailing box. it may cost abit more but i get my minis , etc all in one since i ship at month’s end.
Very Nice! Very very Nice.
I’ll have some please. ????
Still waiting for Eworks guess I’ll never start Legion 😀 . I guess I am missing something but the models don’t look much like the new Disney+ TV shows.
That’s something different… just had the Shadow Collective delivered and the components are on a sprue… not bagged.
