Leonard Nimoy Dies Aged 83 – You Lived Long & Prospered Spock
February 27, 2015 by brennon
A bit of a sad note for a Friday evening but legendary actor Leonard Nimoy from Star Trek, the man who played the awesome Spock, has died aged 83...
...Nimoy had been having problems as a result of his smoking and he died this morning. Still, 83 is pretty good and he was great in his return to Star Trek as an older version of himself.
I think we should all break out an episode of Star Trek to watch this weekend.

Very sad news ,he was truly of the greatest Sc-fi actors of our time….you will be missed Leonard now its time to explore the final frontier…….
Thank you for all the fantastical journeys you took us on Mr Nimoy.
This is very sad news for me as I met him a few times, and found him to be a very interesting, extremely witty and a really decent person. He will be missed but not forgotten. I hope he’s gone on the ultimate adventure….. This time, for real, into the unknown.
This post is the stone that I place
Leonard Nemoy was always gracious with his fans, whether the eternal portrayal of spock haunted him professionally or if he was simply tired of the attention, he was never mean, never short-tempered, always kind and gracious; in that, I think the man’s soul could be judged as eternally prosperous.
Whether it was Mission Impossible or Star Trek there was always something compelling about Leonard Nimoy. He will be missed yet celebrated.
I’m by no means an emotional person (ask my missus), but I am deeply saddened by this news. Thank you so much for the 40+ years of entertainment you have given me Mr Nimoy.
Sad news.
Sad news but Star trek pales next to his other well known work. Rest in peace and thought to any family

YES!!!!! This just goes to prove just how COOL Nimoy was. I mean to sing THAT song and still be as legendary as he was, you would have to be a god of some kind. I’ve go it…Nimoy god of the eyebrow raise.
He will live on in our memories and in his work.
Now he belongs to the stars above, where he took us all so many times. 🙁
Here’s hoping DeForest Kelley and James Doohan were among those waiting for him with warm smiles and open arms.
I just hope he gets to join Doohan in space!
He touched my live. He made me a trekkie
Farewell sir
He lived long and he prospered. You can’t ask for much more than that.
So very sad at the loss of a wonderful human being, who presence has been constant throughout my life where ST TOS was always on BBC at 6. We enjoyed sharing the voyages through TV and Film, I enjoyed you books and marvelled at the many ways you have found to express yourself. LLAP Leonard we miss you even if Mr Spock would remind us that Grief is illogical [insert quizzically raised eyebrow.]
Rest in peace sir, thoughts with your family and friends at this sad time. I hope they take some solace in the astonishing legacy you leave behind and remember all the people whose lives you have touched.
farewell sir
RIP Galvatron!
Nooooooooooooooo
It can’t be true.

Rest in peace!
The end of an era. You lived long and you prospered, and now you will be missed but not forgotten.
We love you Mr. NImoy!! Until we meet again!
Very sad news, we are going to miss him dearly. S.Y.O.T.O.S. Mr. Spock…
