The Siberias Lion Riders Lunge Into Battle From Shieldwolf
September 9, 2015 by brennon
The Siberias Lion Riders from the Human Kingdoms by Shieldwolf Miniatures are now available for pre-order over on their webstore. You can check them out here and then watch out for their full release in November later this year.
Why ride into battle on a horse when you could go into a fight with a ferocious lion coated in armour and with slashing claws in place of hooves. I could see these wild animals protecting their fallen riders in the heat of battle so tight is the bond between them.
What do you think of the models? I think that the rearing one is the best, about to pound its weight down atop some hapless foe.
Are these for you?

Very Nice.
They would look great painted up as “Battlecat” from He-Man
They look great! sooooo many Ideas!
I think i saw a similar design on a magic card somewhere..look nice though
Those are very nice.
I look at the dreads the lions have and I think of rasta lions. I know it’s silly but that’s what came to mind.
I’m torn on weather I like them or not. I like the lions themselves for the most part. The riders I wish they would have done something more elite or knightly on them.
Agreed. I’m not totally on board with these… close, but no cigar. I’m not fond of the rasta manes, and something about the riders just seems off.
The riders upper and lower bodys dont match at all imo .. the guy on the left for example seems to have borrowed legs and arms from another larger miniature. The thighs are pressed against the mount of course, but they wouldnt expand in size like that on any of the riders. Whoever painted these did a good job with what he got though.
Amon Chakai, missed the creds on the bottom 🙂
Those are legs? I thought they were pantaloons, or “loose slops,” as they were called.
you may be right .. what speaks against imo is that the boots seems to be the same size, suggesting those are just very thick legs.
