Westwind Drop Into Battle With New Weird World War Mechs
December 1, 2017 by brennon
Some new Mechs have been previewed by Westwind Productions over on their Kickstarter for the Panzer Mech range. Take a look at the new Soviet and American pieces they've been working on.
First up we have this more traditional looking walker that you might have thought you'd see in your Weird World War games with the T49 Russian Mech.
With two big tank guns on its arms, it looks like it would shake the very foundations of the earth everytime it fires. Mechs have a quality to them that I think is just unstoppably cool - the cinematic nature of them is hard to ignore.
Taking on a slightly more modern look we have this Avenger Drop Mech.
The jet look at the top of mech takes it more into the realm of Robotech or Macross, especially when you see the legs too.
You could imagine this creation crashing out or orbit and crunching into the ground before unloading all manner of shots from those gatling cannons under the wings.
I'm not sure about the almost sunfish look of the frontage for this mech but I think with an alternative paint scheme it would look very striking.
What do you think?
