West Wind Create Concepts for Secrets of the Third Reich Axis
April 22, 2015 by dracs
Things have been a bit quiet with West Wind in regards to Secrets of the Third Reich II, but now two new concepts have appeared that show off some of the troops that will be fielded by the Axis forces in this weird world war game.
For the Fatherland
First we see what I believe is a German troop, geared up for battle in winter conditions.
The fight in Russia was some of the most vicious of WWII and the addition of monsters and Serbian mutant super-humans could only make it worse. This German soldier certainly looks the part, but with subtle additions such as the shoulder pads and red goggles to show the changes to this world at war.
Banzai
The second of these two concepts features what I believe to be a Japanese fighter pilot.
This is particularly exciting as the Japanese haven't really been explored within Secrets of the Third Reich in the past. Their inclusion could suggest the opening of a new theatre of combat and plenty of accompanying weirdness.
Are you keeping an eye out for Secrets of the Third Reich II?

I would have liked to see the German fellow with a SturmGewehr 44, similar in appearance to the AK47, which was designed from it. Still, will be nice to see the mini’s.
I’m looking forward to seeing what new German units we’ll be getting along with how they have tidied up the rules.
Oh yes! Awesome game that I haven’t played for a while. Balls to all this ‘zombie’ nonsense – when it comes down to it werewolves rule. Plays really well and the minis are stunning. If they are going for a #2 i’ll be waiting for it.
