Secrets Of The Third Reich II Weird World War Kickstarter Begins!
June 5, 2015 by brennon
The Weird World of Secrets Of The Third Reich is now on Kickstarter thanks to West Wind Productions. The campaign aims to fund a new edition of the rulebook, army book and new miniatures including walkers, vehicles and more...
The War Gets Weird
The background behind Secrets Of The Third Reich is that by 1949 World War II continues to rage. Super-science and monsters from beyond the realm of possibility have been drafted in by both sides and now the war takes a different turn.
Designed to be played from the Squad Level all the way up to Platoon Level Secrets is a 28mm skirmish game. The standard soldiers you've come to know and love from history battle alongside huge mechs, mad monsters and everything else in-between.
Gather Your Soldiers
As well as the new book you can also get your hands on some Starter Sets for the game. These will get you going in the Weird World War and give you a good basis from which you can build up...
As things develop throughout the campaign a whole load of extras are going to be added to the campaign through stretch goals of course ...
...including the likes of the Japanese and the United States Marine Corp for some Pacific Weird World War action. I think this immediately brings up some interesting additions like the demonic Oni coming to aid the Japanese in battle.
Power Up The Mechs
As we mentioned at the start there is also an intention to make some new mechs for the game with a revamped design fitting for a new edition. You can see them below for each of the factions.
These redesigned Mechs will come as resin and white metal kits. As well as being available to just add to a campaign there will be chances to get them for free with 'Lieutenant' 'Captain' 'Major' and all 'Unique' Pledge Levels.
Special Pledges
One of the coolest looking additions to the campaign and world of Secrets Of The Third Reich is that they have some rather special Pledges for people to get their hands on. The first of which is a nice piece of artwork signed by Andy Cooper...
...and most awesome of all is the Lost Legion. These mercenaries are survivors of the wasteland and will fight for many different factions. They will be unlocked as the campaign progresses with the first being Libby. She is an American Sentinel however so she only fights for the States!
Are you going to be diving in on this Kickstarter for some more Weird World War action? Let us know in the comments below what faction you're going to support.
I reckon I'm going British!

I am very tempted by this. The sarge at £79 seems a decent deal.
In for the ‘Book’ pledge right now, hoping to add on lots of mechs/characters and the Lost Patrol when they come up.
I’ll be even more tempted if the Japanese faction gets unlocked
Me too! I’m hoping to just get some bits and pieces to place in with my Bolt Action USMC, then a bunch of nazi zombies and apes to fight against them.
Big fan of SotTR – USMC/Japanese for me. Got some begging to do now…
