Dig Deep With West Wind’s Suslik Mining Suit
January 18, 2013 by brennon
West Wind Productions have decided the only way to go is down with their Suslik Mining Suit which is nearly ready to warm up its engine and help clear a path through stone and enemies in Secrets of the Third Reich.
Now that is a rather awesome looking piece of kit that looks like it should belong in a game like Gears of War or something! I love the way its been put together and the paint scheme certainly gives it an ominous feel.
How good it is on the battlefield we're yet to know but it does look like it could do a lot of damage.
What do you think of this monster?

Im looking for a game to use my dust warfare models in … perhaps SOTR would be it? Warfare rules still dont cut it
Strange that you mention that @hatamoto I played one game of Dust and felt the same way. It seemed really dumbed down and unfulfilling as a war game. As for SOTR, I only know that the range of models isn’t as big as I wish they had.
West Wind are slowly expanding their SotR line, but have pledged to do it on a more regular basis now that the Empire of the Dead is out. The re-sculpt of some minis (Siberian subhumans IIRC) and all the new Soviet mecha seem to be proof of the more expeditive release schedule.
The cool thing about SotR is that the book also contains rules for making your own mecha, so things like old AT43 striders and scratch-built stuff can get a place on the table.
