Satyr Art Unleash Their Chainsaw Commando On Blood Devils!
December 2, 2024 by brennon
Satyr Art Studio released a bunch of new 28mm metal miniatures over the last week or so. There are some great Oldhammer nods in here, perfect for those who want to delve back into the valley of nostalgia and revel in days gone by.
Chainsaw Commandos // Satyr Art Studio
The first set are the Chainsaw Commandos who will be tearing their way through many a hab block. These folks would be great for bolstering a squad looking to break into the Underhive and kill some rival Gangers. Equally, you could go all "horror" with them and turn them into maniacal cultists who just want to rip and tear. Your painting would go a long way to dictating their allegiance to evil or slightly-less-evil.
Monitoring these soldiers from a safe distance, you can also get your hands on the 28mm metal Techs. These would make a great addition to a command squad or you could use them as NPCs and background characters in games like Necromunda.

You've got three different characters to consider here. The one on the left looks like he enjoys doing things the old-fashioned way whilst the one on the right might have hit up some more tech-savvy friends for a few augmentations. The fellow in the middle is your straight-laced overseer who has to do everything by the book. If you don't fill in those sanctions in the right order then it's off to the meatgrinder with you!
Last but not least, we have the awesome Blood Devils which are a nice twist on some of the existing miniatures Satyr Art sculpted in the past.

I am a big fan of the big fella sat on the Skull Throne and so I am always drawn to miniatures like these. They seem like a great excuse to expand my "Golden Daemon" themed army with some more yellow-skinned warriors. These would be good champions for units or leaders for me to drop into bigger games.
