February 22, 2017 by dignity
It's time to rumble as we get stuck into a Let's Play of Giant Killer Robots: Heavy Hitters from the combined minds of Cryptozoic and Weta Workshop!
This is a full-on smackdown where you grab your massive robots, smash your way through the opposition and make the ruins of the far future your playground of destruction.
The Kickstarter for this game is launching TODAY so keep your eyes peeled for its release.

Justin has the best job ever.
Um… John was there too you know 😉
I don’t just mean this one. I mean all the Lets Plays and theme weeks 😉
It’s a crazy job, and you know the best bit of it is not the gaming but the people you get to meet that make all the games 🙂
Don’t rub it in lol
@redben – lol I honestly could never imagine not working in the industry 🙂
the robo mechs look fabulous.
This is a great looking game, even if some of the rules need a little polish. As for the building six sides on a four sided building will not always line up, 2 will, 2 won’t. Turn the top piece 90 degrees and it will be fine.
Looks really well done, not sure if its something id get into personally but those models are well sculpted, I like the sense of the humour in the fluff too. If it becomes a “thing” it would be cool to see the paintjobs and conversions people can do with it as well.
That was better than I expected.
Quick question…….can you fail the initiative roll on purpose. That is choose not to roll to take it?
Sometimes it may better to let your opponent move first.
as far as i can see you have to take the glory hound roll, but in 3-4 player games it will change the dynamic 🙂
Holy cow, this looks excellent!
Delivery in the same month as Mythic Battles – think someone would kill me!!
I cannot lie, big stompy mechs get me all the time. Good Play through guys, well done.
Let’s go all Robo Jocks!
(Gods, that film is terrible!)
Looks interesting, deck building element could be some real variation. As to changes – @dignity, you never spent 5 energy on running but kept saying you couldn’t disengage, so I think you could if you had sacrificed a turn shooting. Throw in the drones to block chase lanes which you did use and I think you could have kept range. Obviously would need play testing but seems a bit early for calling for changes. Did the paint guns tag ability only work on GKR as I think if it goes on drones you could get a tag advantage while do… Read more »
Love the setting, love the models, love the rules, love the game BUT the shipping cost might be too much for the EU…
Big stompy robots, assembled and prepainted, boxed, multiplayer with simple mechanics?
Yeah, I backed it.
