Fur-Clad Warriors & Flesh Husks New From Artel W Miniatures
December 13, 2024 by brennon
Artel W Miniatures have some fantastic new miniatures for you to snap up for use in your 28mm Sci-Fi wargames. The first of these miniatures might be timely considering that we might be entering a time of wolves and blizzards in a certain Grimdark Future soon.
Athel Thane On Landvaettur // Artel W Miniatures
The first miniature is the Athel Thane On Landvaettur, a brilliant new leader character for you to consider adding to armies alongside your Space Vikings. This faithful beast and its rider have been augmented and expertly crafted for the battlefield and they look amazing in resin.

As with all of the Artel W Miniatures kits, this fellow doesn't just come in the configuration that you see above. You can give him a selection of different weapons to choose from and their are multiple head options as well.

I think I quite like the idea of going with the sword option for his hand weapon and changing the helmeted head for the bare wolf head on the mount. The flowing beard and hair should be as standard I reckon because it looks suitably epic.
Freaky Flesh Crafters!
As well as this warrior from an icy planet, we have some freaky flesh-lovers and I don't think that they're thinking about a nice massage. They are led by the disturbingly awesome Flesh Husks Priestess.
Flesh Husks Priestess // Artel W Miniatures
This master of flesh can make a name for themselves within the dark corners of space by using their skills to twist and warp the bodies of those that they capture. Their ability to mould and craft all manner of creepy creations makes them famed and well-sought after. Additionally, they can use their skills to drive their creations into a frenzy.

The miniature comes armed with all manner of cruel barbs and hooks which turn them into a vicious murderer on the tabletop. Much like with the first miniature, she also comes with a bunch of different options so if you need to make more of them for your army, you have the choices available to you.
Flesh Husks Priestess - Options // Artel W Miniatures
I like the idea of making one which is a little more wild and monstrous compared to their companions using the very toothy head option. You could use this as the one that you put front and centre with the most murderous creations in your army.
Those murderous creations might take the form of the Flesh Constructs.
Flesh Constructs // Artel W Miniatures
Bundles of coiled muscle, spikes and razor-sharp weapons, these Flesh Constructs are going to be a battering ram that could smash a hole through even the most stalwart of Space Marine lines.

You wonder what they once were before they got turned into the monsters that you see here. Maybe you could paint them in different ways based on their original species. I could see one of these being a big, brutish greenskin that had been warped and twisted into a hideous monstrosity.
Flesh Constructs // Artel W Miniatures
There is a set of three of these for you to choose from and they could be fun for putting into Space Elf armies of all kinds. Maybe your "good guys" have decided that the lesser of two evils is to call on their cruel cousins to unleash these monstrosities on the humans who just don't seem to understand their limits.
All of these miniatures can be picked up as part of the Flesh Parade if you like or individually.
Flesh Parade // Artel W Miniatures
Considering that a certain company has been lacking in updates for their army, once again Artel W Miniatures steps into the breach and offers up a great alternative to help those seeking to build thematic armies. All of these miniatures look fantastic I think you'll agree.
Are you going to be picking up some of these miniatures?
