Bring Full Spectrum Dominance To Life With The Lazy Forger
December 14, 2022 by brennon
The Lazy Forger are currently over on MyMiniFactory raising funds to bring the first digital edition of Full Spectrum Dominance to life on the tabletop. This is their 3mm to 15mm Sci-Fi wargame featuring awesome troops, vehicles, walkers and more battling it out on small tabletops packed with stunning terrain.
Full Spectrum Dominance // The Lazy Forger
Full Spectrum Dominance features amazing miniatures like the ones you can see here where vehicles and mechs are handled individually whereas infantry moves in small teams that rush around the board seeking to claim objectives. You could play the game on tabletops as small as 2x3 feet at 6mm and then expand things as you go up towards 15mm (maybe a 3x3 table?). The distances used when measuring are standardised so you can move up and down the scales very easily.
Full Spectrum Dominance Rulebook // The Lazy Forger
The Rulebook is pretty small when you get a good look at it and everything is neatly broken down to give you a good introduction to the game without much messing about. If you'd like to see how the game actually plays, we have a Let's Play which goes through all you need to know!
Let's Play: Full Spectrum Dominance (6mm Sci-Fi Wargame!) | The Lazy Forger
The rules for Full Spectrum Dominance have been in the wild for a while now and so it has been playtested and tinkered with by a lot of folks. Now, they are aiming to bring it all together with this campaign alongside some lovely miniatures.
Full Spectrum Dominance Miniatures & Terrain
There are two factions presented as part of this campaign that have been designed by The Lazy Forger. For example, maybe you want to take on the role of The Tech on the tabletop.
The Tech // Full Spectrum Dominance
The Tech feature a variety of humanoid-style mechs but also their mighty spider mechs. In-game, the Tech are swift and brutal and like to rely on their swarms of spider-like robots and jump options to get right into the midst of combat and maybe even strike from above.
On the other side of the coin, you have The Enlisted.
The Enlisted // Full Spectrum Dominance
The Enlisted come with a wide range of vehicles and are very much the jack of all trades when it comes to Full Spectrum Dominance. They can do a little bit of everything and as The Lazy Forger points out, you could build four very different armies out of The Enlisted and they'd all be fun to play with and wouldn't be samey! They seem like the perfect foil to the more direct forces of The Tech.
You can obviously also make the decision based on the aesthetic. The Enlisted have a much more hardcore military feel to them whereas The Tech steps things up a notch. To me, it's a bit like choosing between the UCM and PHR in Dropzone Commander.
As well as making amazing miniatures, The Lazy Forger also makes some of the best small-scale terrain in the business and at higher pledge levels, you get a bunch of it! Here is just a preview of the big bundle.
Full Spectrum Dominance - Terrain // The Lazy Forger
Their stuff really is absolutely bloody beautiful and should be as much fun to paint as the actual miniatures for your armies!
Full Spectrum Dominance Pledges
You can't have a fundraiser without pledges and this breaks down what The Lazy Forger are offering up to folks who back this campaign.

As mentioned, this is for the digital edition of the game and therefore you'll be getting both the PDF for the rules and also all of the STL Files to bring the game to life. You can find more information about the pledges over on the Tiers Page of the fundraiser in terms of scale, optimisation and the like.
There are also stretch goals being unlocked for the campaign as it continues to roll on but I'll let you discover those for yourself.
Could you be tempted by some 6mm Sci-Fi wargaming in Full Spectrum Dominance?

soooo tiny…. TINY
Very tiny! But also up-scalable to 15mm and playable on a warhammer sized table! 😀
I have read the beta rules and I really like the game. I also saw the ‘Let’s Play’ on OTT. It is a good game. Unfortunately, it is all digital! I will get the rulebook, but not the armies.
Yeah, same here. Pity though, since the minis look fantastic.

This is very fair! We couldn’t handle the physical distribution of miniatures, but I have myself a full 6mm army from Ground Zero Games which costed me a few quids and that does the job excellently!
3D is only one option!
All the terrain an figures an vehicles look fantastic for the game.
Too kind! <3
Could these be adjust for the scale of Dropzone Commander?
I believe the rules mention scaling up or down. The makers themselves favour 6mm, but mention that it can be printed/played at 3mm or 10/15mm as well.
Definitely so, in fact there are quite a few people playing FSD in 10mm.
I am favouring the small size of a 6mm table, but i’d reckon that 10mm would look even better!
The only downside, it would probably be better to resupport most of the models. 🙂
Well, Just stumbled on this….
I might jump into this, with the minis printed for me, (as I have not decided on a resin printer yet).
I have enjoyed the tinyness of ‘WarMaster’ and have been thinking of adding another Large Tiny wargame.
