Empower Your Energy Swords With Green Stuff World
December 22, 2017 by brennon
Green Stuff World have released some epic new transparent resin blades for you to customise your minis.
Right now you can pick them up in Red, Blue and Green colours.
Each set includes thirty energy swords in total with five different types to help give you some extra variety.
All the blades come with the option of either keeping or removing a handguard too which is a really nice option.
Currently, only the Medium size of 1.8-2.2mm length and 2-3mm width are available, however, Green Stuff World is also working on a smaller 1.4-1.6mm length and 1.5-2mm width and larger 2.5-2.8mm length and 3-4mm width size variants.
I think these are really great and offer a good way to add some eye-catching detail quickly.
Which models do you think could rock these energy swords?

Almost feels like cheating!
Is it cheating to put the green rods into the Necron weapons?
At least you have to do a little bit of conversion to put these on.
Dunno. Never painted a Necron.
Now that is a lifesaver I can never seem to get the right effect what a great idea,
thanks for posting.
These look really impressive I am going to pick some up but I wonder would you want to paint them at all? Or just leave them? I mean for power swords I feel that you could leave the edges and paint the rest as a sword and give some source lighting for an even better effect than just them being left plain.
While I’m sure they look OK out of the box, they would look far better with a bit of paint work – a bit of light glazing and edging would likely produce some good results.
That’s really interesting stuff. There is so much potential with these.
So I can effectively give all my models light sabres? Sold…
They will look great with a bit of paint to make the power is surging through it.
These would pair well with the Grimlight lighting kits.

Hmm add a LED to the hilt
Hallelujah this is going to save so much eye straining painting! Thank you green stuff world!
My dark angels will get first weapon swap, then work through the rest of my armies.
I’d be worried about how strong the join was with the existing model, especially with such a small surface area by which to glue them. One suggestion I could make would be to mold them with a “peg” that could be inserted into a hole drilled through the existing grip/hand, which would help align the blade correctly on the model. (I noticed that some of the blades in the video were pointing in a different direction to the original)
These are the missing link in my life, they complete me
