Black Site Studios has been growing their Violent Dark Sci-Fi range! Loads of additional packs of 32mm miniatures are now available for you to snap up and use with this small-scale skirmish game.

One of the first sets, and one that I think a lot of folks will be eager to pick up, is the Multipart Crew. This is a multipart resin kit that can be assembled in a variety of ways so that you can make the team you like. Bodies, legs and heads come separately from each other and then you just need to choose whatever weapons you like!

On the other side of things, we also have the Multipart Aliens that you can use to hunt down and murder the Crew.

Again, the bodies, heads and arms all come separate allowing you to assemble these aliens in whichever way you see fit. There are clear influences here from the Xenomorphs of ALIEN but I like that they have dived in and done their own thing with some of the design elements here.

Another interesting set of foes for you to face come in the form of the Rogue Synths.

This is slightly different from the sets above. Rogue Synths is a small expansion to Violent Dark which introduces two new crew classes for you to play as. You can run a Synth Hunter or a Mercenary and then come up against a band of Rogue Synths who have gone haywire in the depths of space. You, of course, also get all of the rules for using these in your games.

You can't go into the black without a faithful companion, right? So, here we have a set dedicated to the Ships Cats!

These have been designed to use as scatter and narrative terrain in your games. But, they could also be tacked to your character's bases to add a bit of storytelling. This set doesn't come with bases so it would probably make sense to incorporate them into the rest of your collection. Or, swap the aliens out for cats and have them hunting you through the spaceship.

Some additional twists come in the form of a couple of smaller packs. One of these is the Vac-Suits set which has been designed for when you need to head out into the vacuum.

There is a great old-school feel to the design here, harking back to the industrial Sci-Fi feel of films in the 1970s and 80s. I love that everything is technically modern and cutting edge but also comes with a bulk and heft to it. It's Sci-Fi but done on a budget by the big corporations.

Last but not least, we have one of my favourite sets from this collection. Do you dare go near the Xeno Hugger Sample x855?

Something has burst out of the lab and has started taking over the scientists! I think these are gory and absolutely awesome. You could seriously see these creatures in a movie, done with practical effects. I particularly like the floating fellow who has twisted up some unfortunate crewman, sapping the life from their body.
