The fluff for Warhamemr 40K puts those Space marines at 9' tall! What would that look like in miniatures terms... well Nick and his crew at Worthy Painting have some... check it out!

Loving these models, great way to show off the power and size of the Space Marines.

Those are some big Space Marine models. And gorgeously painted by Nick.
Looking good. I’ve toyed on the idea of using Micro Arts Studios conversion parts for truer scale marines but never really got to it. Might have to rethink that now.
chapter house have a tru scale kit and the guy who sculpted them is opening his own web store and 1 of the wip he has atm is another tru scale kit.

And here I thought Chapterhouse Studios had buried this project. Good to see that it still alive and kicking. The loin cloths on the Micro Art Studio conversion pieces were the reason I never bought them. That problem solved now.
Looking at a video like this makes you want to buy a squad or two of the true scale models!
those are pretty cool, but if they make marines tru scale, they have to make other tru scales as well
it would look hilarious seeing some troop-grade marines that are larger than hq’s from other armies
yes, but different armies can be different hights, so it would only be strange if it was an army that was on average the same hight or taller than a marine
and why the IF’s
use a cool chapter that doesn’t suck up to the emperor and get killed constantly
they DIE SO OFTEN IN THE FLUFF!
Really cool idea. If you think about it, Sm should be like Ogre Kingdoms in Fantasy. Lots of big multi wound guys, that hit hard and caarry big guns.
Here wouldnt the easiest way to bring everything back into line with the fluff, size wise, just be to make guardsmen smaller????
It seems someone has been listening to overenthusiastic Black Library authors instead of Jes Goodwin on the size of Marines. Jes designed the models, and he says seven feet, so I’ll take his word on it.
I should add that while Jes did a drawing that appears to say eight – http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/mediawiki/images/3/36/JesGoodwin.jpg – he started the scale at 1′ rather than 0′ by mistake (as you can see), so it’s actually seven.
