Worldworks Games Launches Battle Packs
March 7, 2011 by beerogre
Worldworks Games are arguably the premier purveyors of cardboard terrain on the net. Now they've come out with a new pack containing a selection of templates and effects that you can print out at home, to really boost your gaming experience.
What do you think guys? What are your thoughts on paper templates?

This stuff looks great! Anybody had any experience with using it for war games as opposed to RPGs? Like Warmahordes or the like?
Saw this a couple days ago on a papercraft website and thought most bits will get damaged quick. But! A lot of my buildings have always been papercraft anyway and sure they get crushed, but you just pull them back into shape or print/build new ones.
I’ve used a god bit of WW games stuff for rpgs and the like, and for table top terrain, might look into these I particularly like the look of the flame/smoke ones, a lot of volume compared to some templates of the type!
Their stuff is all double thickness so does hold up fairly well i find.
I really like the papercraft stuff. It can be really cost effective and some of it just looks amazing. I started a group a while back for papercraft stuff, Id love to see people add anything theyve found so that we can have a list or directory of sites on for everyone to use. Check it out.
Some of that looks great but I don’t really think there’d be much of it I’d actually use.. Explosions etc.. would make things look good but I’d be too busy getting on with the game to bother.
Cool ideas, but just looking at the images, I could design and build them myself. And head to the hardware store (or so we call them in the States) and get some “For Sale” signs for cheap plastic, and you’d have more durable versions.
For $4.50, I’d be more willing to get this than have the hassles of designing my own stuff. I’d have more time for miniature painting as well ;-). You can always print on transparency sheets or similar materials to provide more strength rather than paper or card.
Looks awesome i would really like to see this in a warhammer 40k game.
Like someone shoots off a rocket and you put the blast on the table.
Hmmm, speaking of Warhammer 40K, they just added a few more standard Warhammer templates to the set. 🙂
