The Weekender is back again and we've got some awesome stuff for you this weekend. We're going to be looking at the awesome Battle For Sophia which is going on right now, an email from an avid viewer, Dropzone Commander, SPIEL and some Wild West goings on.
On top of all that we take a closer look at how to play Last Night On Earth! It's quite the jam packed show for you guys and we have even dragged in Sam to have a chat.

The Magical mystery tour is on!
It makes me proud to be a gamer when we raise money for charity.
I sure hope Sophia get’s better soon.
For a minute there, I thought Warren and Lloyd had been joined by Ozzy Osbourne.
Great episode
Im looking forward to the WWX coverage. I backed the kickstarter as I love the concept, but now that ive seen the retail price I think I am going to need some convincing to actually keep it (here is where @broadside slaps me upside the head)
I’m clearly not broadside BUT i’m a backer of it and I highly suggest joining the WWX forum if you haven’t already, I’m Jimmy Hobo on there. The company has proven itself time and time again that they truly care about the customers which is a very rare thing in these times it seems. Yes the models are a bit expensive but far from the worse. You also need to remember that this game goes from very small skirmish games to bigger, The admins of the forum were given early access to the rules (look for their really good podcast… Read more »
For some reason it cut half of what i wrote for some reason so apologies that doesn’t make sense.
basically what i was trying to get at was get on the forum, listen to the pod casts called The good the bad and the enlightened. and watch this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fEbj_6WQqQs
Hope this helps
I agree with demyse. I was really looking forward to WWX. I just missed the kickstarter, but was ready to paint and play The Warrior Nation until I saw the retails prices.
I guess their success on kickstarter went to their heads.
I will NOT be getting into this.
There are many other games of equal quality for better value.
Sam looks like a young Ozzy Osbourne, I believe Ozzy might have a bastard son?

Trust me. Ozzy has a lot of bastard sons 🙂
*Unrelated*: welcome back (to being on camera) Sam!
I think Sam looks like a young Terry Gilliam

There’s only one way to find out.
Sam. Do you ever get a sudden desire to bite the heads off bats? Yes or No?
41:35 (ish) – very puzzled looking bloke walking past..
Thanks for the shout out guys that was fantastic and really made my day 🙂
Jennifer is such a star for organising that. It is our anniversary today.

The Lord of the Rings sound tracks are awesome for playing games in a fantasy setting!
Glad you guys like LNOE. It’s a big favorite around our table (including “non gamers” who are “now gamers”).
Also, I love the road show idea. 🙂
You can do an episode in my back garden , I think the shed and nebby neighbours would make a fantastic backdrop !!!

Where are you guys this looks familiar?
Its Lake town !
The touring idea sounds awesome, it would be great to have a chance to meet you guys, and have chat. And on the subject of Zombies, have you seen World War Z yet, as there’s a scene on board a plane which I think warren would love to see.
I have learnt two things today, firstly what happened to all the white dog nuggets and secondly when your up to your neck in it with Zombies “Don’t trust Lloyd”.
Beasts of War on tour sounds like a great idea, you could bring the tour bus/campervan/motorhome/unicycle to Salute!
I own a unicycle actually. Just need to slap the BoW logo on it.
All you need know is to learn how to juggle chainsaws and ride on a tightrope
Come on Sam, ya know ya wanna! lol
Well I can already juggle, just pass me the chainsaws
Warren, you asked would a Zombie have Turretts, well my wife, whom from now on will be also know as Hawk Eye, spotted in the opening credits of Romeros Dawn of the Dead, a Zombie, centre crowd, on crutches! I Sh1T you not. Ive watched it many many times and Ive never spotted it. So Id say yeah to whatever, short sighted paraplegic etc. Boom Sticks, Chainsaws and as many Brains as you can get on the Audio the better. Howls and sreams are a given of course. Bruce it up Baby. Howdy Sam, good to see you on the… Read more »
I miss pub benches

Yeah, you guys shouldn’t drink so much.
Great to see Sam again. Thumbs up!
it could be said Keith Richards is already the scariest celeb zombie.
Great show again guys. Also. Sheep and a zombie game. I’m betting that has never been done before.
Great show again guys. I’m sure I saw Last Night on Earth in my local games shop, will have to give it a go.
2 dry days with not a sign of clouds?? ‘Tis not the Ireland I remember….
Doh! I meant rain!
Nice location and show as always!
