As someone who so loved the film ‘platoon’, they bought the album, which this is on, I really must dig it out, dust it down and put it on the turntable – yes it’s vinyl!
Man after my own heart!
Always loved Jefferson Airplane, I prefer Somebody to Love but this is still a great record.
How about Aquarius/Let the Sunshine In?
I love it with your theme music for Vietnam 🙂
Really it adds to the theme so much. Keep it up!
Still no motown 🙂
still no surfin bird ^^
great great but i hope to hear “these boots are made for walkin” 😉 damn i like full metal jacket.
a teacher of mine said years ago, “who know full metal jacket, know the life” 🙂
Agreed we need to get some Motown in here.
This request is brought to you from Michigan USA…
Prefer the live Woodstock version. Just no pleasing some of us 🙂
Add my voice to the motown appeal
This old heart of mine The Isley brothers.
Would be great
Ooooooh yeah, tripping
YAY…
Just YAY ( I think I kept talking about this song… nice to know they heard me LOL)
On another note and I know its late…
But Gary Puckett & The Union Gap with Young girl is THE song for me from 1968… Its my favorite song too to boot 😀
Very trippy!
Agreed, very psychedelic.
Everyone must have heard this one before, and yes some motown would be nice to hear as well.
Yeah but I thought the point was the counter culture that was a part of the era and vocal against the Vietnam War.
Anyway I’m off to see if I can help make the Pentagon levitate maaan lol
Trippin’ out on 60’s jams
trippin is the word 😛
Am I odd because I prefer the version on the soundtrack to Suckerpunch?
Yup
ok we got this well done warren now peeps are asking for motown so my votes for smokey robinson tracks of my tears(platoon) and we cant forget to put up wagners classic ride of the valkyries
p.s hope we get the doors the end as the last song
A tune that combines the drug explosion of the 60’s onwards with the changing social landscape, a definite fave of mine. Play it again!
