Another great WEd, you just keep them coming. Thx.
XLBS with breakfast, now to warhammerfest! Time to spend silly amounts of money 😉
I saw a demo table set up at the game store just last weekend with all quiet on the Martian front minis and it looked awesome. Has me tempted to get a starter set.
I’ve been struggeling not to put money into All Quiet on the Martian Front. I did that with Dropship Commander too, at least until you had the Dropship Commander weekend which resulted in me diving into that game. Don’t you dare having a All Quiet on the Martian Front feature…don’t you dare…. 🙂
Here is a 28mm tripod:

If your thinking of 15mm Martians don’t forget Black Hat miniatures VSF-range which would fit nicely with All Quiet on the Martian Front.
Cheers
why not just use the all quiet tripods in a 28mm game? I hear they’re pretty tall and even though they won’t reach the heights you might want they’d still be a good stand in for a smaller urban or maybe trench assault tripod.
YES, you’ve got to get the 15mm All Quiet on the Martian Front going for a demo game at least.
Talking of demo games, any possibility of doing a 6mm Napoleonic game in the future , especially with the anniversary of Waterloo coming up ?
Would really like you guys to do summit with the martians, maybe a demo game or summit??
Don’t get me started on Myth again for Gods sake. Lol
EU still doesn’t know when we’re getting it.
From what i’m led to believe the Star Destroyer was a show piece and they aren’t sure about a general release.
The X-Wing will be a kit you have to put together, but is coloured plastic and doesn’t need glue – Just like their Gundam kits.
For vampires… watch the anime Hellsing Ultimate. It’s about Alucard battling vampire Nazis.
are club have been doing Victorian martian with tripods for nearly 10 years now
New to BoW but must say I am loving it all. Thanks guy
Marvin the Martian tripods “ohh yes” get them on the show
Cheers chaps
I love the tripods, but the human stuff is just so stupid… The land ships were the final straw. To me War of the Worlds is about pitting real stuff against martians — not weird human super science with no real units in sight…
That’s partly my problem with DUST too. Really, not a single real WWII unit in existence anymore??? I understand the financial side of it, they want you to use their models, not Tamiya kits or whatever, but it just destroys my suspension of disbelief.
Excellent show again guys.
I was thinking of getting into aqmf but will wait to see if they do a British starter set.
Other than that I was toying with 10mm for it, just need to find tripods in the right scale, or use the 15mm ones. Need to see them did real first.
I second the above request for 6mm Nap battle report.
That should read ‘see them for real first’.
Which card set were you playing Myth with? The original (flawed) set or did you obtain the 1.1 set?
I got the 1.1 cards printed off through printerstudio.com (look fo links to builds via BGG forums) fulfilled in Germany for about £12.
Yeah. I kept waiting for the mention that the game is an incoherent mess out of the box and you need the downloads to make it work.
This link ( http://goo.gl/n8tJGq ) takes you to the community built deck(s) as ready to go project on Printerstudio.com … anyone looking to use this check out the link at the top of the page for special offer codes such as free shipping and discounts.
I boosted my order to free-shiping breakpoint by ordering some card boxes and then effectively got a deck of ordinary playing cards with a family photo on the back for free.
I’ve only had a demo of AQotMF but from that limited sample of the rules I don’t think it’d be too difficult to hack it into WWI. It does look epic at 15mm and that would probably be how I did it, but as @wargamingpastor says, the tripods are pretty big so you might get away with using them in 28mm.
Saw all quiet at salute 2013 but it wasn’t on general release 🙁 please get them on 🙂
great vid, enjoying being a backstage member now thank you 🙂
Thumbs up for an AQotMF show, really great models. A note to above comments, the game is set in the 2nd Martian War, so the humans have re-engineered Martian technology from the first invasion, hence all the weird-fi stuff, also make the game much more interesting than duck-shooting humans until the Tripods collapse from a heavy cold 🙂
Wizkids, the Star Trek Attack Wing folks, do big scale games for Attack Wing demos at expo’s and conventions.

I would definately play All quiet on the western front in 28mm.. Using Mars Attack aliens is a good idea as well. I have WW1 minis, so just need to get some aliens, also chuck some zombies in as well… I may even go inter war for the period rather than WW1.
Excellent show with two of my favourite games, Dust and All Quiet on the Martian Front. I have been a Dust Warfare gamer for two years but have yet to try Tactics, it seems too abstract for my tastes. Battlefield is a much better game with added rules but I prefer the depth of Warfare, both are great games using the same figures and vehicles. I have a Blog showing my Dust stuff and a friend and I have just started a Dust Podcast.

yes yes yes to All Quiet on the Martian Front! I would like to see it most in 15mm however a 28mm would be ok too.
I’d love to see coverage of AQotMF. The game looks really fun, and really different. I didn’t have any money to put down on the Kickstarter, and I was also less sure about the direction they seemed to want to go in with the Brits and the aliens from Venus, but I like a lot of what I’ve seen of the stuff that’s out so far. Myth looks interesting, and I’m looking forward to finding out more. I wonder if there’s any scope for making 3D terrain? Can you show us some more of that black trench / bridge board… Read more »
you guys should totally do AQOTMF!!!!
