Greas show guys. Nice to see that backstage get to be involved in some stuff early. 🙂
Also looking forward to getting a copy of dreadball. I like the fact that there is always a chance of winning in it. Nothing as bad a knowing that you are slowly going to loose a game from the end of turn1.
Good show, relaxed and informal as the name suggests. Also it is *much* better than the four talking heads you tried out on youtube.
The idea of keeping shows to particular days each week is ermmmm…. no point for me, I log in daily, and I really liked the ‘daily tips’. They were very often not cheesy, just explanations of particular rules, and ideas of things to try in different situations.
and I love theme weeks….. best thing you guys do 🙂
The “talking heads” format is part of Geek and Sundry’s “Hangout” series Tims.
It covers a wide range of subjects, some of which I must admit to really enjoying.
Boyes (?) was out in sunny California so is a bit like video conferencing.
I rather hope that BoW will participate in those as well and can discuss things with tabletop gamers from around the world for a different angle.
But I also enjoy the informal Saturday morning style too 😀
Yup, the talking heads thing really is a video conference, and I think it has a place as well, like this weeks one, getting people from different parts of the world together to talk about gaming , for that its a fairly unique format
.
Loved it! I like the idea of scheduled shows but keep doing some spontaneous ones too. One unboxing a week seems a bit slow from my point of view. That means you could only cover, lets say. a month (or sometimes less) of GW new releases. This doesn’t even get started on other game systems and the very large back catalogs of all the games. Thats just my 2 cents
I really like where BoW is going. I’m liking the new faces which obviously your going to need if your going to put on a lot of shows. I’m looking forward to the events at TTN. It’s going to be great to see a lot more different game systems being on the frontline. Your spot on with skirmish games I don’t think i have started to play so many as I did last year. Should give Saga a mention as it’s a great inroad into Ancient historical gaming and one of my favourite games. With the increased content I’m looking… Read more »
haha I noticed that Freudian slip, unless SHOCK!!! it wasn’t a slip!!!
OMG Warren is the love child of Darrell but who is femme fatale that brought Warren mewling into this world??? 😛
Have Darrell and Andy stayed behind in Northern Island, just wondering as I saw a comment on youtube that said they had
Yes… Darrell and I are still in Norn Iron (the local pronunciation)… but we’ll be in TTN for filming on Monday. So watch out for some new videos soon. 🙂
Dark Angels per chance ?
Darrell and Swampy both in for filming on Monday. Sounds… painful!
Luckily Andy’ll be on hand to sort them out!
Thank you, hey could you put andy to work on warmachine hordes -he has been promising me for over a year he was going to hit the game hard again but with all the changes he probably hasnt had the chance 🙂

I like this show, and its progressing well, the first show was good, but I thought Stuart was a little nervous in that one and seemed more relaxed this time around which made the whole thing flow better.
It’s also nice to see Justin taking a bigger role after the move , he’s always been ‘the other guy’ in the videos before it seems to me.
Cheers @nogginthenog I’m still getting used to this whole telly-web stuff and that weekender was my first thing on camera ever! That said I’m in a bunch of ones coming up but intend to only make occasional appearances in shows as really my focus is on events and TTN activity so can only justify setting myself up for ridicule when my job really justifies it!
Glad to hear were going to see more of your extensive wardrobe 🙂
I may have to hurt you… 😉
Not surprising you were a bit nervous really, I mean I dont even use my real name to splash my opinions around never mind stick my ugly mug in front of a camera.
Hope you stick around these chatty sort of shows, as someone who plays with friends purely for fun and don’t really even understand the hardcore must win playstyle , its nice to have a similar outlook on gaming in these shows from yourself.
I’m sure Stu was able to draw a lot of confidence from being a lot more comfortable behind the camera than I was!
Can I just echo the comment on Justin, always good to see more of him.
The landslide victory stops one sided games. When I played as Orx vs Humans I failed to get any players to pick up the ball and lost by two 4 pointers. I did take out one of the opposing players though.
We could always start an internet drive to get Stu a new wardrobe for his internet appearances, perhaps a range of costumes? themed for each work ; )
But yeah, totally agree, it can be really daunting the first time you appear in a video, but you relax into it after really well !
One thing I did notice was that you need someone to come and top up the coffee.
You guys were draining the mugs (is that a GW analogy? lol) and even under the studio lights it must have been cold.
ps I sincerely hope that the lookout for a female presenter is NOT just so you have a woman to do the drinks and sammiches!! >:( *no no* lol
After the first ten minutes or so, that tea was stone cold. But I persevered!
response to P.S. remark…
…problem?
Which is why a manly mug holding a litre of tea is best for those long sessions…
I reckon each person should have a little gas stove keeping their tea warm. Not for the show, just generally in life. Cold tea should be abolished.
I agree James, having let my coffee go cold, put it in the micro wave and then let it go cold again.
I blame watsisname for inventing thermodynamics.
You can get mug warmers that plug into the USB port
At least the beverage of choice will be nice and warm when you spill it over the laptop.
Nice to see you have not forgotten Live Rounds, the first and so far only, was really good.
I have the same shirt as the guy on the left!
Did you nick it from Stuart’s washing line? 😛
Can’t be. I always wear it!
Good show, guys! I was eagerly awaiting it on Saturday morning, but it didn’t appear on Youtube until the evening. Anyway, starting a Sunday with tabletop talk works as well for me. I like the very idea of you guys having a casual chat in front of a camera actually better than your somewhat ‘glossier’ shows. It’s just content, and here’s hope you will keep this direction (the “Autopsy” venture seems to be along those lines, too). There’s also improvement already. The plain table serves the purpose of conversation way better than the clumsy terrain board. I also liked the… Read more »
