Will you Wed the Prometheus Brides?
June 5, 2012 by brennon
Take a look at these scary alien heads from Puppets War. You may remember the renders of these from a while ago but here are the Prometheus Brides...
As you can see, some fairly impressive and eerie sculpts that would look fantastic on an original alien faction in your Sci-Fi games. I love the completely off the wall backs and sides of the heads compared to the emotionless and human front.
Will you be picking these up, and what for?

They do have a spooky look about them.
So…. if I order this set am I getting a mail order bride?
Nicely sculpted faces and “hairdo’s”
Puppet Wars come up trumps again
These took longer to come out after rendering than the Egyptian styled shoulder pads and helmets – I’m guessing those pipes underneath the majority of the head (undercuts?) made them hard to de-mould or something. Glad they’re out now though, and I still say they’ll be great for Necron Overlords with more personality, or for more tech-biased female DE Haemonculi, or even for ALEPH soldiers from Infinity if the scale isn’t a problem. Lovely stuff.
They certainly have a Prometheus (the movie) wibe to them, but I think they’re original enough to stand on their own. Not that I would complain if Puppet Wars was to produce actual bodies or alternative torsoes to go with these, that we’re inspired by Space Jockey’s suit for Prometheus. As said above, they have many uses in various games and settings.
They need a little more gigeresque look ( like Li for example ) but they look really good. Would be very nice to make a Gigeresque Slaanesh Daemons army with those.
Drell from Mass Effect. New ideas are depleted…
