Weapons Galore from Puppets War
March 5, 2012 by dracs
Puppets War have just released a new selection of light halberds for you troops to cut up / stab the enemy with.
The nice thing about these blades is they don't have any details which clearly mark them as fantasy or sci-fi, making them suitable for minis of both categories.
Also check out this preview Puppets War have put up on their Facebook.
This is a promising WIP for what they are calling the Cyber Arthropod which would be great for almost any sci-fi game or army, not thinking of any in particular.
What are your thoughts on the halberds? Do you like the look of this upcoming cyber monster?
Puppets War are really going for the Necron market it seems – first Tomb Blades and Scarabs, now Canoptek Wraiths (even going so far as to use the Spyder-style head shown in the codex). GW needs to hurry up with that second wave before Puppets War do a Spyder too, because it’s a very promising start.
The blades are much more generic with no massive wow factor but they look good and have an eastern flavour to them in the blade shape and the almost bamboo-like sectioned grips. I like them, they’ll be good conversion fodder.
I love that third halberd from the right with the long haft, but there is no way I would buy several sets just for a few copies of a single weapon.
The head reminds me of the Squids from the Matrix movies.
I feel that with a little bit of converting those weapons would be great for thousand sons… and the anthropod thing is soooooo going to be mine… I need to get more money for this puppet wars stuff… really really getting respect from me
