the cool thing about the vindicare… the FAQ says you cant look out sir against that 😉
and then you pointed it out later on in the vid… but i read it as he ignores look it sir myself
Sly Marbo is the best. Was that even a question?
He is maybe not a Space Marine Trooper, but he is Rambos big brother!
a mate of mine took telion on a lascannon at the tournament in january and hopefully will be doing the same when we pair up in april 🙂
Excellent vid guys 🙂
Excellent video report. All of my buddies are digging around for the best models in their individual Codex’s to man the defense line Cannon. Perhaps you could put together a report for who should man a defense line for each codex?! A couple of Necron examples: Triarch Stalker – Causes any unit hit to be marked for twin-linked (Targeting Relay) Cryptek, Harbinger of Eternity – Reroll To-Hit or To-Wound Destroyer Lord – Preferred Enemy (Everything) reroll 1’s To-Hit or To-Wound Nemesor Zahndrekh – Adaptive Tactics/CounterTactics: remove stealth, give tank hunters etc…
Telion is very cool, but very disapointed that naman wasn t put into the DA dex. (first love) 🙂
I have just sat through a video watching two grown men talk BS…..
I’ve been using the Vindicare on the Quad gun for awhile now and it is a game changer, particularly went Interceptor allows you to hit the enemy in their turn and still shoot in your own.
It’s pretty clear to me that Deadshot and its FAQ means the Vindicare decides where the wound goes, Look Out Sir is a waste of time.
You can drop a whirlwind or a griffon shell on his squad.
The griffon can reroll scatter, and the vindicator can ignore cover, which will give those scouts no protection in the aegis line.
Sure, they aren’t common in tournament play, but I think barrage weapons will make a comeback. I’m certainly going to be using griffons with my CSM.
Guys, think of the fire dragons exarch with powers: Tank hunters and Crack shot in combinaison with an Icarus lascanon.
He hits fliers on a 2+, can reroll penetration and doesn’t allow any cover save.
Which flier could survive that?
Firedragon exarch? try the Dark Reaper exarch instead, Fast shot or crack shot.
You can’t use fast shot and crack shot at the same time.
And you combo is just twice expensive as mine…
Id take telion plus 9 snipers all with Cano cloaks and take a master of the forge to reinforce the aegis then maybe sit a thunderfire cannon behind it as well
You can’t reinforce fortifications
Don’t need to reinforce it and can’t. Telion has stealth which is then given tot he rest of the squad. With camo cloaks and Telion the squad is 2+ cover in any 4+ cover terrain, like the defense line.
Telion made my day! Had 2 Thunderfire cannons who boosted my ruins for my two scout squads with Telion in one, 2+ cover all the time …nice!!
I’ve been playing Telion + 4 sniper scouts w cloaks in my ADL with quad gun. He rocks. Manly I was using him to bring down those annoying flyers upon entry (pretty easy to get 3 glances). I hadn’t thought about the Icarus as it is single shot. Having instant death and higher penetration likelihood, plus lower cost I will rethink that.
Wow, it works! I tried Telion in an Aegis with the ILC on the weekend. I was facing a Dark Angels player in a relic game who had 1st turn and teleported 5 termies and Belial right down in front of my Aegis with the intent to wipe out the scouts and claim a fast First Blood VP. Unfortunately for him, I declared intercept and rolled the requisite 2+ hit, 2+ wound, applied to Belial. He failed the invul save and was instantly killed (and instantly p.o.’d) that I managed to get First Blood and Slay the Warlord in HIS… Read more »
