Its important to walk around the table and not stay at “your” side

In friendly situations, I will generally remind my opponent if he/she forgets something.

A tournament is a very different situation.
~If I’m losing by a wide margin, I’ll remind my opponent to try and nab some sportsmanship scores
~If I’m losing by a bit, I won’t remind the opponent
~If I’m winning by a bit, I won’t remind the opponent
~If I’m winning by a wide margin, I’ll remind my opponent to try and salvage some sportsmanship scores

I think it is fundamental to understand why you play the game and how important is the victory vs the experience of playing the game.

I use that necron tactic in my games, I always leave 10 warriors in a building on my side of the board and if my opponent kills all my necrons in the battle I say that I have another 10 necrons right here.

I just can’t see how helping opponent to forget can be considered as tactic. Its cheating. Pure and simple.

I have done this with my guys and forgot about them myself lol

for me persoanlly this is the type of game that i try to avoid

i much prefer to remind the player if they have forgotten to do something that you know that they were plannning to do.

Find it a rather hollow victory if i have to rely on an opponent forgotting to do something.

but i guess that is what makes gamers different everywhere

Howdy Darrell! Great video! Oddly enough, this very thing happened to me not too long ago. I was playing my Tyranid in a 1350 pt match versus Space Wolves and had deployed the Parasite of Mortrex in a group with 4 Tyranid Shrikes near a piece of terrain on the table edge. Ive done this a few times, once when i was against the fenrisians i hid an eversor assassin in some terrain and i actually forgot about him. Some long fangs were giving me knights a hard time but when the lonfangs had to move up to get in range they ended up right next to the building he was in. I spotted the assassin in my turn when i was trying to work out what to do so i assaulted them. I think it won me the game, i love assassins bs and ws 8 😀 assassins ftw!!

I see the logic and understand everyone’s points, but isn’t it better to win through strong tactics and that old bit of gamer luck than nefarious means? I think a win via the above may feel hollow.

where did you get those containers/crates whatever you call em?

You just gave my GK Interceptors a new purpose. Thou they do have a slightly wider operational range than those assault marines, but still.

Managed to fit in some innuendo at the end too, nice…
