I do always get the powers I need. Cos I most often take Tigurius and use the Codex powers…
I disagree with your interpretation of Mental Fortitude. If you break it down, I believe it’s clear that it’s not limited in the way you discuss.
“If the target is falling back, it immediately regroups.”
If you’re falling back, you regroup.
If you’re not falling back, you don’t regroup.
“It then gains the Fearless special rule for as long as the power lasts.”
You gain Fearless.
Regardless of the outcome of the first part, you’re still gaining Fearless. If it was limited to units falling back it probably would have said so in the first line where it defines legal targets for the power.
Telepathy is not too bad for an imperial Primaris Psyker. His default powers are not outstanding, and he can only get the first 4 random Powers. The 5th and 6th one have warpcharge 2. On you’re “Maybe on the big Nids?” with Psychic Shriek – No because if you’re close enough to cast it then you’re probably in Shadow in the Warp range of somebody and taking your psychic test on 3D6 and more likely to perils so fully agree with Darrell’s appraisal of “steaming pile of smelly poo” 😉
Puppet master only affects one model, not multiple. focussed witchfire attacks are one model
i think its a nice little toolbox list of powers and would dare to say its as useful as divination myself, admittedly against high leadership its not as useful as it could be, but it still has a power for several situations…also my psykers always have a nice bodyguard unit so getting close up isn’t a major issue for me
I’m planning on taking over my mates Calgar for the OB, he always starts outside his vehicles and walks with 10 termies lol
Puppet Master would be very good against Grey Knights…. reason? Vindicare Asassin… we control him for a turn… 😛
