The Veer-Myn Unveil New Weapons For Close & Long Range
May 10, 2012 by brennon
Mantic Games are continuing to tinker with the genetics of their Veer-Myn race in Warpath. Now they have developed to a new level and bring new weapons to the field of battle...
Stalkers...
The Stalkers forgo long range weapons for cruel daggers and close combat pistols. Deadly looking creatures with some nasty weapons ready to rend and tear the Veer-Myn's foes.
Scourgers...
Scourgers on the other hand love their long range weapons and are armed with nasty Chemlasers that melt their way through the enemy armour. In combination with the other forces of the Veer-Myn they are a deadly foe.
These weapon options will be available as Upgrade Kits later in the year, so watch this space.
Also, if you missed out on Ronnie's video about the Veer-Myn you can check it out above this story!

There might be some nice details in these models – fur texture, snarling faces, gas masks like the artwork – problem is the paint job looks very basic and a bit thick so I can’t tell if the detail is blobby or just the paint. The chemlasers remind me of that gun from the start of the Sarah Connor Chronicles that only works when the liquid turns red – I like the vials on the back. One of the models has a broken arm though, must have happened after painting. That NEEDS fixing since it makes it look like the… Read more »

Thank you for putting this up. It was interesting to watch.
Nice to see these units finally, was waiting to get a look at them before Advance ordering one of the launch armies. Wonder what prompted the change from Gougers with Superdrills, 1 of which could have been included in the Stalker Section, to Scourgers with Chemlasers, a longer ranged heavy weapon. Big lasers are always welcome but seems to be a step away from the closer range focus of the original list. Fingers crossed that we’ll maybe see the updated army list before the miniatures release.
Veer-myn and Corporation models (besides the Undead range) have taken Mantic to the next level of quality. I just got a box of the Corporation, great detail, great deal and nicely made minis.
Will be interesting to see if Mantic sticks with resnic (resin plastic hybrid), or if they mix in metal figures and plastic sprues. The last two armies, besides the hero were all resnic.
Anyone have insider info?
