Total Extinction Kickstarter Nears Final Week!
November 27, 2013 by brennon
Total Extinction from Sentinel Games has been going great guns and it is coming up to it's final week on Kickstarter. Take a look at some of the new things that are on offer to backers...
To begin with they have added to whats available in the boxed set by introducing another six Colonial Troopers and two Glorlon Troopers. The set as it stands is pretty awesome and evokes a very 80's and 90's video game feel I think. I still insist on everyone painting their human soldiers like Doom Guy.
As well as the miniatures for the boxed game you can also add this Lagral Glorlon Commander to your pledge for £1 but only until the 30th of November, so there is still a chance to get your mitts on him as the week comes to a close. He is quite the gribbly beast.
The guys have also been working with Warmill to bring you some amazing looking terrain to make your battlefields look all fancy. There terrain is always a stunning thing to behold and I think it fits in well with the Total Extinction look right now. Clicking the images above on their Kickstarter page will also show you more details of the kits!
Will you be helping them head towards that final target goal?

Wow, I don’t know if these are new releases (from Warmill) or if they just changed their paint schemes but those terrain sets look way better than I remember.. especially that M.U.L.E stuff.
DID ANYONE SPOT THE VORLONS :O
Backed! The minis look very cool, especially the Glorlons; looking forward to getting my set.
Likewise!
These models and their designs are some of the best I have ever seen, can’t wait to get my starter sets
This should have been funded way faster, but I guess people are wary of unknown guys making their first foray in bringing a product to market. It’s clear from their numerous updates and communication with the backers that they’ve got the drive needed to bring the project to fruition, so hopefully people will jump in soon. I did 🙂
Yeah, it’s nice to see a company that listens to its customers.
I bought the fortress kit 2 years ago in Crisis and it’s great. You have so many options with it, because very segment is seperate, so we used to use them for battlefield ‘debris’ or wall.
It’s sorta funny to see how this KS seesaws around the goal point. It was at £30,000 this morning, the came down by about £200 within minutes and has now crawled back to being “funded”.
It’s well funded now :0 and up next an awesome ‘chopper’ 🙂 [img?1385430583[/img]
For this project, < £300+ isn't really that *well* funded tho, it's lost over £500 worth of pledges in one day before. But I suppose the backer base has fairly well cemented now, what with the miniature material being known and all so it's not very likely to repeat.
Shut up, gimme the fortress and take my money!! 😉
Funded again! 🙂
Today has seen a bumper crop of updates as well- including the resin masters for the United Colony Troopers and the brilliant Stakan Gunship!
Still teetering on the brink I see. For some reason this project has been struggling hugely and it looks to continue. Won’t bother speculating on the reason thereof, but the last week needs to be good for this to fund. Hopefully the Colonial masters will convince more people to pledge (and those who are already to stay on too) because I just don’t think many will believe this’ll get to the Stakan gunship stretch goal now.
Possibly not but as long as it funds I’ll be happy. In many ways its good that the campaign hasn’t exploded; SG get the chance to prove their ability to deliver but without crippling themselves in the process. They have already said they’d like to KS another battle set so hopefully things will go better next time, especially if the Elohim are up for grabs 😀
I’m pretty sure by this point that this KS is being plagued by a “pledge troll” or three. If it is, it’s unlikely to fund since they will pull out all their money near the magic 24 hour mark and the project will be exceedingly unlikely to recover.
Lets hope that’s not the case or that others will jump in.
The Staken chopper is now available for £26, so here’s hoping it will stay funded.
Fingers crossed. It is a steal at 26squid
I don’t see why SG would “unfund” the Stakan. It would make a lot of folks pretty angry at them, I figure.
@tnjrp – I think hithero meant the KS stays funded. Not a problem now with 24 hours to go 😀
