Tobsen77 Take you on a Moon Traversing Adventure
July 4, 2012 by brennon
A rather strange but oddly cool vehicle for your Sci-Fi gaming today from Tobsen77 Miniatures. Check out their Lunex CV Lunar Explorer below...
As you can see, strange but cool probably works very well for this vehicle. This behemoth of a vehicle stands at 10cm tall and the components are made of both metal and resin. Could this be a fairly amazing objective piece for the battlefield?
What would you do with this Lunar Explorer?
That’s no moon…
…that’s a space st- oh! Now there’s a thought…the hatches do look a bit like docking bays.
A giant monocycle is a very original and quirky way of getting around – I love it. The slightly ‘clunky’ appearance of the wheel’s gears plus the spherical shape of the crew compartment makes me think this would look great in steampunk brass/bronze as some kind of more mobile Cavorite Sphere in true H.G. Wells sci-fi style.
I would build it and paint it and love it and sleep with it on my pillow. wub.
And name it George? 😉
But of course! lol
Of Moonmice and Spacemen!
Moonmice? 😉

I couldn’t resist – this model might work with the Clangers actually. Remember to listen out for “Oh – sod it! The bloody thing’s stuck again!” when the door jams at the start…
You need help @chibi and yes I can see myself sleeping with is as well.
But I don’t sleep so nice since my threadbare tedbear Teddy Gum-gums did get put in the shredder by mumsy.
I love monocycles in any form. I like the retro sci-fi feel of it. It’s like something imagined in the 50s or 60s but sculpted in a more realistic manner.
This is just crying out for a bolt-on weapon mod on either side, some sort of chain gun/GL combo. Dakka! Dakka!
Its steampunk Unicron in its planet mode!
Great. Just what we need… Space Balls.
I love Space Balls! One of the best classic comedies of our time.
